I prefer country music and 80 and 90's pop and rock. Right now I'm loving "One hot mama" a country song (sorry I don't pay attention to who sings what). - 4/18/2012   6:35:17 PM

This might seem a little weird, but I love a song that was done on How I Met Your Mother called Nothing Suits me Like A Suit. It's sung by Neil Patrick Harris and is really up beat and kind of silly, but it gets me pumped up and going hard on the elliptical. - 4/18/2012   5:43:49 PM

Gotta turn the world into your dance floor
    Determinate, d-determinate
Push until you can't and then demand more
    Determinate, d-determinate
You and me together, we can make it better
Gotta turn the world into your dance floor

I listen to a variety of music when I work out. Kylar Stern, Disturbed is in my playlist as well as Soil, Soilwork, Godsmack, Mudvayne, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine, Killswitch Engage, and a lot more. So you are not alone in listening to heavy metal/hard rock music when working out. - 4/18/2012   2:18:58 PM

Like KYLAR_STERN, I'm on the more aggressive side of the musical spectrum... Have recently added:

No One Gets Left Behind - Five Finger Death Punch
The Pride - Five Finger Death Punch
    This Means War - Nickelback
    Warrior - Disturbed

And Lord help me, after seeing the video for it, can't get this one out of my head, so it's on my ipod as well:

Part of Me - Katy Perry

I recently added a few to my list based on suggestions from All You magazines latest Health and Fitness edition. I added "Sparks Fly" from Taylor Swift and "Barefoot Bluejean Night" by Jake Owen. My husband and I typically listen to Christian Rock, alternative, and hard rock, so I have lots of that on my playlist, too. - 4/18/2012   1:20:26 PM

Wow, am I out of it when it comes to music, I hardly recognize any of those songs. I will have to check them out, kind of tired of the songs I've been using in my workout playlist. - 4/18/2012   12:33:19 PM

Does anyone else listen to heavy metal/hard rock when working out? That's what gets me pumped. 5 favorites now have to be:
back for more- Five Finger Death Punch
    Do What You Do- Mudvayne
    Nightmare- Avenged Sevenfold
    Perfect Insanity- Disturbed
    Come Whatever May- Stone Sour
(And for when I'm going up a horrible hill on a run) 100 Ways to Hate (remix)- 5FDP

Anyone have any suggestions along those lines? Looking for heavy metal without the screaming - 4/18/2012   10:46:21 AM
