Edward Jackowski, PhD, creator of Escape Your Shape 21-Day Body Makeover, claims that there are three main body types: Hourglass (slim waist, carries weight in hips and chest), Ruler (straight up and down with a thicker middle) and Spoon (carries weight in hips, smaller in chest). This DVD delivers three full-body cardio and strength workouts that he designed to tailor to each unique body type.

The DVD includes one workout for each body shape with beginner and advanced workout options, allowing you to go at your own pace and progress as you get stronger and fitter. The beginner routines are simple enough for newbie exercisers, and the advanced sections really get your heart pumping with compound strength movements and higher-intensity cardio moves.

Each workout includes cardio intervals, core exercises, upper body exercises with light hand weights, and lower body exercises. All of the workouts are just 20 minutes long, so they would be very easy to sneak in at any time during the day. We love that you can get everything done in such a short amount of time! The workouts constantly switch back and forth between cardio and strength sessions for the entire 20 minutes, so you never get bored. We also appreciate that the cardio segments include a count-down clock, so you know exactly how much time left you have per interval. Bottom Line
Regardless of whether or not these workouts are the real secret to spot-training, we think that any (or all!) of the routines would be a great start for anyone looking to move more and stay in shape. All three workouts on the DVD are well-rounded with both cardio and strength training components, and the beginner and advanced options give you room to progress. The instructors are very encouraging, clear and thorough, and none of the moves include complex choreography, which makes this great if you have two left feet.

Incorporating all three routines into your weekly rotation would definitely help spice up your workout plan and take your fitness results to the next level.
