I just got back from a 5-day trip and am happy to find that I didn't gain weight. :)

When I joined this challenge on 1/12, I had already lost 14.5 pounds.

On 1/19, I had lost an additional 3.5 pounds.

On 1/26, I lost 1.5 pounds.

On 2/1, I lost another 1.5 pounds.

So that's 6.5 pounds in 3 weeks. I am not sure why I am losing weight faster than I was before, but perhaps this challenge has sparked me!

Total weight loss is now 21 pounds.

I'm in. I weigh in on Mondays so I'll post up data then. 1 pound a week is definitely realistic. I'm in the midst of a plateau but darnit I'm going to break through! count me in!

I'm all for the 'being kind to myself' route - and 1lb/week definitely sounds manageable!
I'm starting today at 149lb.

This is my first week being back at the gym in months and today I managed to pull of 45 minutes on the elliptical...a decent feat for me because I really don't like cardio :p. My first official weigh in will be either Monday or Tuesday. I'm not sure how much the scale will budge because I have been strength training and drinking a lot more water than I used to...but I guess you never know!

Hey Sydney and Casey,

So glad to have you join this challenge!!!

I'm done with setting up unrealistic goals for myself. I'd rather lose 8 lbs. in 2 months than go overboard with expectations of an elaborate exercise routine or # of pounds to lose and wind up losing little to none.

I'm totally up for this challenge. One pound a week seems like a fairly simple goal to get things moving...though things aren't always as easy as they seem. Here's to dropping 8 lbs!

No, you are not reading that wrong; just 1 pound a week for the next 2 months. Some of us are just exercise impaired and can't go nuts like some of you lucky ducks.
