Yes a very happy Friday everyone!!!

I'll have to try the Green Tea method for curbing cravings. I LOVE Green Tea so it should be an easy fix to see if it helps.

My ex has one of our boys living with him and my oldest son lives with me (per their choice) and I even have him getting our youngest son to eat better and getting more vegetables in his diet for dinner, and exercise more during his time there. This weekend we've planned a family bike ride with my boyfriend and sons since it's our weekend. Added bonus - My oldest son is learning to ride w/o training wheels so he's accomplishing something and we all get out the house :)

I wish everyone a fun & safe weekend!

To all! Let us not forget that we are not on "diets" We are on a sensible eating plan that has room for normal food. If ur calories and nutrients are in line, we can enjoy an occasional piece of bread and butter or a piece of cake. They need to be planned for but there is room for them in our eating plans. What we are eating now is what our eating should consist of for the rest of our lives. If we come to feel deprived we will not be able to maintain our weightloss. We are doing this for the long haul. OK off my soap-box.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. If you are going to a super bowl party go with a game plan about how you will handle all the high calorie food that might be there. Have a successful SP weekend!

Thanks for the advice MENNOLY. I drank a ton of water and dove head first into work until dinner was ready, I ate a nice healthy dinner with my only offense was going back for another piece of fresh bread which I then put some butter on EEK! but I still stayed well in my range for the day so that's not bad at all!

Happy Friday BLUESKIES!

OK, this is what I do. First drink a glass of water, you may really just be thirsty. If that does not work consider a cup of hot green tea. Still hungry? Chew some sugarless gum, it makes your brain think you are eating. If that doesn't work have 3 dried dates. Wonderfully sweet and rich tasting, great fiber, and only 60 calories. By the time you have done all that it is dinner time and you have your planned dinner! emoticon

Help! I'm so hungry! I've recorded my calories for what I've had so far and what I've planned for dinner I'm right on track, but I'm STARVING!! I want to eat everything!! I need something to get my mind off this for 30 minutes until dinner is ready!! AAAAHHHH

I haven't started walking at lunch time, but I started bring a bag of salad at the beginning of the week so if I am hungry, or just for lunch, it will keep me from going out and getting fast food...so it's great for me and great on the wallet :) but I do a type of isometric exercise, I think it's called. While typing I sit on the edge of my chair & lean back enough that my abs are engaged in balance and holding steady - it is KILLER - but I feel I'm still missing out to an extent when I can't have a good run. Thankfully my kids LOVE to exercise, so when we are able to get to the gym they do jumping jacks & push-ups & things like that so it's very encouraging :)

I will let you all know how my first early AM workout went tomorrow!

Welcome Claudia
Have you considered trying to do 10 minutes a day with the kids? I know that isn't as much as you would like but it would be a start. Exercise does not have to be at a gym. It could be playing. Check out Mostmom and her hulahoops.

Hi Claudia! I feel your pain with getting the kids out the door in the morning, then work, then hubby not getting home till late and then you've got bath and bed and dinner in there some where, its rushed and crazy and wild!!

Any way you can workout during a lunch break at work? I used to do that years ago...back when I got lunch breaks LOL

I definitely love this topic & it's exactly what I was looking for!
SW: 136.3
GW: 120
It's not 25lbs, but this is something to help kepp me accountable. I have limited internet access & I'm not on here a lot, but I will be now for this forum. After having kids my skin isn't as tight so I think it makes me look heavier...so with this, even if it's not a full 25lbs, I hope to be able to stay encouraged and motivated with all of you.

This is the last string before I meet my goal. I've lost around 30lbs total. I'm so close I can feel the confidence of bikini season rushing over me! The hard part is getting & staying motivated :/ My boyfriend and I used to work out together all the time because our schedules would allow us a couple days off or a late morning or early afternoon. Since we've switched jobs and my hours changed and sometimes he isn't home until 7-7:30 and by then it's bath time for the kids, a bedtime story, and pass out...sometimes not even in that order, haha! So I've virtually lost my workout partner. We bought bikes and started mountain biking on weekends, but I need something during the week. My only option is to wake up around 4:45-5am, head to the community gym (I'd fall back asleep if I stayed home) and get my workout in before the kids wake up for school & I get ready for work...(ugh) I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

I'd love to make some new friends and know what you all do to find motivation for any hurdle. I know that I shouldn't say "I'll start tomorrow" but I won't be waking up until then, so I'll let you know how it goes...
Wish me luck :)

I got pretty close by December and yes the accountability helped emoticon
So I'm IN! I have a of couple fitness goals to reach in the same period, my 10 K time UNDER an hour and a Sprint Triathalon on June 9th.

I've been playing around with my food trying to find a working balance of carbs(not my friend) and serious sweat equity, while I maybe getting close I'm about to lose the 15 pounds by Valentine's Day Challenge (by 13 pounds) so this ]challenge seems more doable!

Twenty five pounds will put me just past the end of my ticker-oh happy dance!

I am leaving January at 200 lbs! That means I start February with 25 lbs to lose. I can do this!

If you are wondering my ticker says 198 because I reached that weight in mid Dec before I put on my "holiday 7" I never changed my ticker because I did not want to be congratulated for losing weight when in actuality it was weight I put on that was coming off for the second time.

I would LOVE to join your challenge!! I want to lose 25 pounds total so this is perfect for me!

SW 175.8
CW 171.5
GW 150

I have learned that tracking my food and drinking lots of water is a MUST for me to lose weight, without tracking I have 0 accountability.

Here is a little about myself:
I'm a thirty-something mother of 3 (2 boys, 7 and 9 and 1 girl 18 months), married to the man of my dreams, I work full time in a high pressure job, I sit all dang day on my rear end in front of a computer, so apparently my body thought it would widen itself so I would be more comfortable.
My goal is to lose 25 pounds and get to 150, I was 142 at my lowest and loved it, but I only stayed there for a few seconds.
To get there I am going to track my food, work out with the Firm Express, drink lots of water and post, blog and put up motivational pictures, I printed off my favorite picture of me when I was about 145 pounds, I will have to look at it daily and remember why I'm doing this!!

I am looking forward to getting to know you all! Who are you? What do you do?
