Happy Saturday! Stressful week found me poppingin the wrong food into my mouth on occasion. Slightly tempered by the sweat equity so today I will eat right and work out...and if I do the same tomorrow Monday should be a whole lot LESS STRESSFUL! Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

To everyone who is losing weight, emoticon . To anyone who is struggling, this is a journey and you need to find what works for you! everyone is different! Everyone has different challenges, different needs and eats differently.Dust yourself off and let's get going. The months will pass anyway, whether we are re-gaining our health or not? Let's make it a YES, WE CAN...and do this!

Whether you have 25 to lose or 25 is simply part of the journey, it's an easily attainable number this far out!

Hi LOBSTER202. Welcome to SparkPeople and to the group!!

My tips are:
1) use the tools - track your food
2) forgive yourself
3) BABY STEPS!!

I make small goals and big goals. Something to work towards every day, something to work towards for the week, something for the month and my long term overall goal. It helps me to have little things to work towards. For example, my goals today are to drink lots of water, track my food and make sure to eat a vegetable with lunch and dinner.

Good luck!

@Ashleighgal-I posted my "save your sanity 72 hour calorie cycle" on 15 pounds by Valentines Day board as a response to AWiseone's blahs...it's ONLY 72 hours and if you just do it for 72 hours or 3 days of eating starting when you wake up tomorrow it should do the trick to mentally re-set you and get you past the "I give up, this is too slow, I can't mode" that plagues all of us on our worst days....It's super simple and you can do anything for three days! emoticon emoticon

I love this challenge. My brother is getting married on June 22nd...plus it's bikini time!!

SW 152.6 - Feb 6th
GW 140.0 - Mar 9th
GW 138.0 - March 31st
GW 131.5 - April 30th
GW 129.0 - May 15th
GW 127.6 - June 1st

I am adding some in between goals as I am doing a Biggest Loser contest at work. 5 more weeks to go (8 weeks total), with the final weigh in on March 9th. I am in 4th place among 60 people...but unfortunately most of those in the top 10 are men....and they are bring in some big numbers. My goal for this challenge is 140 lbs but it's getting tough!! It's a $1,800 prize so I am motivated.

My goal for February is to work out 1 to 2 hrs a day, with a mix of slow and high intensity (45min-60min walk at lunch at work (3-5 times per week), 30 min run in the morning (2-3 times a week) and 60 min P90X in the evenings (4-5 times per week). I am eating 1200-1500 calories a day, focusing on nutrional items.

Once the biggest loser challenge is over I will slow down a little to not burn myself out.

Let's see how it goes! Best of luck to everyone on this challenge.

I'm in!! I'm new to spark people but I'm very familiar with the weight loss battle. I've been bouncing around in the 190's for over a year trying every crazy crash diet you can think of (which BTW doesn't work lol). But I've started eating better and I'm down to 183 now. I don't really have a certain weight that I want to be at, I just want to be healthy and be happy with the way i look. But this sounds perfect for me because this summer I want to be "bikini ready!"

I stepped on the scale and wonders will never cease... it moved down! Since joining SP last January, I've lost 40 pounds. That wasn't even my highest weight, I've officially lost 58 pounds or the weight of my 9yo (scary, yes?) emoticon

@Ashleighgal
One week does not the month make. Eating out frequently causes weight gains, more from the salt added to food than from the calories. Since you also didn't get your water in, you were not able to flush out the salt. Keep going emoticon Track your food, track your exercise and give yourself some slack for an occasional not satisfactory weekend! emoticon

I'm feeling very down this morning, I didn't do well this weekend, I drank hardly any water, I ate out twice, I didn't think about getting any fruits of veggies, I only recorded food half the day Saturday. I did do the Super bowl game which was fun, I got the whole family in on it, we're on the floor doing bridges and push ups, even my 18 month old got into it!
But this morning the scale only shows I'm down .2 of a pound for the week, my youngest was very tired and cranky and falling apart this morning and needed mommy, my time had to be spent on her needs and by the time I got her to the sitter there wasn't time to work out.
I'm frustrated and feel like giving up emoticon

My goal this coming week is to get into the 150's. I will do this by following the eating program that my personal trainer recommends. And I will drink my water.

Congrats to all the great losses on this thread. Wow to Stacietherunner!

I lost 9.8 pounds this week! Granted, it's my first REAL week cutting calories and after a back injury. So, I know it's all water weight. Next week will be the test.

Welcome new members! This group is always open and if you join a little late adjust your goals so that they are reasonable for you. Basic goal is to see real progress by June 1! emoticon

That said I am down 1 more pound so I have 2 of my 25. This also puts me at the low weight I had before Christmas and now I can strive to lose some real weight and not just Christmas indulgence emoticon
