The Party is never over! It just changes! I am 41, and am happier now than I have ever been! And, the party has gotten better! Just because things slow down, does not mean you have to! I have found a new way of thinking, and I am more motivated then ever! Read the book, " The Spark" by Chris Downie the founder of SparkPeople! It just makes me want to get up and go! It is full of motivation! Best of luck!

WELCOME! Nice to have you with us! I love my Sparkworld, and so will you!

Soooo, you were one of those girls huh?? LOL LOL I was one of the fat girls that would love to hate friends like you. LOL Hey, at least you enjoyed it for a long time!

You can keep your love for food, just have to remember moderation, and also enjoy healthier foods to love.

Here are tips I put together to share with each new Sparkperson I meet. I hope it will be a help to you as you achieve to reach your goals!

The site can be overwhelming, take your time. Learn one topic at a time, when you get comfortable with it, move on to another area of the site. Soon you will be using all the tools SP has to offer, and loving it!

Use your Spark Points (click on view SparkPoints) as a map to the site. It is a good way to learn your way around and you can earn points to send yourself or others Sparkgoodies.

Go back to your Start Page if you get lost, you can get almost anywhere from there.

Be sure to use the nutrition tracker. You can ensure you are getting the proper nutrients as well as tracking your caloric intake and this is so important to any weight loss journey.

Never "diet" again! Keep focusing on living a healthier lifestyle!

Read the book, THE SPARK for guidance, motivation and inspiration!

Log on everyday to stay focused!

NEVER QUIT!! NEVER GIVE UP!
THINK POSITIVE! If you have a bad day, let it go.
Wake up to a new day, fresh start!

One of my favorite SP quotes (from BobbyD31)
"Remember we all have Setbacks:
ACCEPT it, HANDLE it, and MOVE ON!

Remember, this is a LIFETIME JOURNEY!!

The online community on the site is wonderful! We are all here to offer support when you need it, or celebrate your successes with you. Any type of interest you have, there will be a Sparkteam for it!

Stop by my Sparkpage anytime and let me know how you are doing! I would love to hear from you!

Enjoy your journey to a healthier you!

Have FUN along the way!

Hi there!
Never been active on a sight like this and i'm trying something new as having to lose weight is pretty new to me. I am approaching 38 and am sad to say I think my "party" is over.
I was the friend girls loved to hate because I ate whatever I wanted and stayed thin. Then in my late 20's and 30's I was always nursing someone, running to get somewhere, or breaking up something between my 3 kids which I think kept the weight down.
Now life is slowing down again along with my metabolism and the the weight is creeping on. SO depressing.
I need motivation, I need support, and I need to be accountable. Because I LOVE food. No really, I LOOOOOOVVVEEEE food. In return I promise to motivate, support and account you right back. Let me know what message boards/groups etc. are active and fun. Thanks!!!
