Hello my 50+ friends, I am struggling with the pain OA, torn Medial Meniscus and sprain ACL of knee injuries. After working out 10/13/11 I tore my Medial Meniscus on top of already having OA. Today and Tuesday gave me 2 days this week in rehab, 1 day on land and today in the pool for 1 hour each. Needless to say that I am in great pain right now. Lack of muscle tone in my quadriceps and hamstring got me where I am today, fighting to gain strength under physical therapist Rachel and Lorii. My left leg has been swollen since the injury ocurred back in mid October. I am determined to keep moving forward with this. I want my life back without the pain but that appears to be impossible now. Surgery on my back has given me freedom from the 17 months of pain I endured due to the auto accident in 2010. I am working on my left knee strengthening and trying to prevent the same thing from happening in my right knee. I am on medication to help deal with the pain of it all. Still I struggle to gain my ability to do the things that I no longer can do. I am fighting to get strong again.
