The "penny a point" idea can be a fun way to reward yourself. I already do something similar. I reward myself with a penny for each minute I exerise. It adds up and helps me feel "not guilty" when I spend that money on a treat for myself.

A Penny a Point in the Journey Jar

Friday, May 11, 2012 is the original date I posted it but thought it time to refresh

For every point you make on SP, why not put a penny in an old peanut butter jar (or whatever). I know that I am really excited about earning points because it means I'm learning, being educated, being encouraged and hopefully encouraging others. It can also be an incentive. Maybe I'll think of it as a Christmas savings account. It could be a nickel if I feel so inclined. for me, I need to be encouraged and this is a little self encouragement. This is far better than hanging out on facebook or other social network that doesn't benefit my health.
