April 11, 2012:
How do I join you motivated people.. This motivation is new to me and I like to get more motivated so that I can become a successful weight loss person...
I am motivated to walked at least 10 minutes a day until I can increase my distance and minutes and to lose 2-3 lbs a week.. Stay committed to this challenge

5. delight: saw some friends I hadn't seen in a few weeks

Results for Tuesday April 10 2012

calories-1900

exercise- 60 min walk in morning and 65 min treadmill in evening
motivation- to be at 200 lbs. by may 1
delight- very productive last couple of days at one of my stores as we remerchandise the sales floor....Also great weight loss week already down 5 lbs. since the first of April!! Yippee!!!

4. Motivation: mini-trips!*
5. Delight: Trying out a new machine at physical therapy

*Note: "Mini-trips" are what I plan to take each week after I've successfully completed my goals. Examples would be going to an interesting park or museum. :) After 8 weeks, I hope to go somewhere bigger! :-D

Lots of exercise this week - felt good to get back on track
Watched my sweets today - had half a cookie and some frozen yogurt

Biggest success: I was reviewing my weight for the last several years. I was thrilled to
calculate that I am down 27 lbs since 2010, when I weighed my all time high.

Did my weekly weigh in again today to get back on a Fri. schedule & I'm down 0.8 pound, a good start.
Back in town & getting back to more of a routine, enjoying being back to exercising & cooking more vs eating out & eating more fresh fruits & veggies.

I knew that I wouldn't have time to exercise today, so I tried to do extra time yesterday.

Yikes, I did my weigh in this morning. . . all that eating out & not being able to exercise really did a number on me . . . I'm up about 3.5 pounds from my previous weigh in . . . well, I guess I'm starting April from here . . .

SPARKCHICK, aka Dena, has had these monthly challenges going for as long as I can remember! I'd like to keep them going for at least one more month. Below are Dena's own descriptions of the challenge...



The plan is simple. Each day we post:
1. Number of cals:
2. Number of minutes of exercise:
3. Number of glasses of water:
4. Motivation: (the same one everyday)
5. Delight: (What made you smile or brought you joy today?)

On Day 1, state what your motivation is to lose weight. Repeat this same motivation for the next 30 days. Your motivation has to be something that will inspire you to lose weight.

This is an example:
cals: 1400
water: 8
exercise: 30 min
motivation: St. Paddy's Day celebration
delight: buying a new dress for the event

FRIDAY is SUCCESS DAY. Post any successes you've have during the week.
