I found it in Cooper's/Saveon Foods but both stores are way too pricey, the best place for better prices is Walmart..Haven't bought it yet but plan too next shopping trip as it does sound tasty... emoticon

Almost all the grocery stores carry it around here...but we get it at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods...more variety at those stores and sometimes you can even get it somewhere where they can grind it fresh for you. Of course, you can make it yourself with almonds and a food processor.

I've seen fresh ground in Chuck's and they carry it in Whole Foods stores. I would try one of the healthy grocery stores in your area.

I've never visited a grocery store that didn't have it with the peanut butter, but you can also look at Costco (they have BIG jars for the same price as a regular jar at the supermarket) or in any health food, or organic food, store.

I made my own one time! It's actually not that hard - and I do not cook so honestly, it's not that hard... as long as you have a food processor. I just googled "almond butter" recipes and found some stuff. The key was chop or crush or whatever it was the food processor does a really long time, like long after you think it's done, you should keep going. I found I got a more "butter" like consistency. I did have to continually stir it when I wanted to use it as the oil and whatnot separated but it turned out to be really tasty. So tasty I haven't bought or made it since because I ate the whole thing in one weekend.

Did you try Target? They sell Justin's maple almond butter in individual (2 tablespoon) serving packets.... it's a great way to just TRY it. I love maple almond butter on bananas

you can shop on line at Eden foods, com
They have the best "butters" I love their Apple butter. I put that on my toast in the morning and I am good till lunch plus its all organic and it comes to your home... NO going to crazy places across town.

it's like mayo and mustard it's shelf stable until you open it [well, actually, read the fine print, some are, some aren't] at which point into the fridge it goes.

I agree to check with the health food stores. you can also google it on line and give your location. they can tell you which stores in your area carry it.

You can usually find some by the peanut butter or if your store has a natural foods section you can usually find some over there too.

Probably depends on where you are. Here, LA area, all the grocery stores have at least one kind. But the specialty stores -- Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Sprouts -- will have multiple kinds (as well as other nut and seed butters). You could ask your grocery store to order some for you.

it's right by the peanut butter in all my stores. maranatha is a common brand that has a tannish label.
