My kids actually prefer Subway to McDonald's or any other burger joint. We don't go there frequently, but it's nice to have a semi-healthy go-to place when needed.

Yep - we love Subway when we're on the road.
The other day we were on the road and had to choose from various fast-food places. I think just about anyplace has SOME healthy choice. I had a turkey burger at Hardee's. It was okay, but I would've chosen Subway if there had been one nearby!

as far as fast food, subway has some healthy options. : )
When buying groceries for my family, I try to buy lunchmeats, hotdogs, bacon with no nitrates-so I still have to limit eating at subway. But they have some great options for on the go options to help you stay within your daily ranges!
Jimmy Johns, however isn't so great. 700 calories and 30 fat grams for their #12-beach club with avacado spread. Not the healthy choice I once thought it was.

As long as one doesn't get nuts with their orders, Subway has some very healthy sandwiches.

That's great! I cannot believe what my kids eat when they are with their grandparents! But I really wish there were more options besides subway as far as healthy fast food but there are more subways than mcdonalds so it's way too convenient of an option for us :)

Turns out that my picky eaters kids actually LOVE Subway! They can enjoy McD'd all they want with their grandparents, but from now on, when we're on the road: we're eating at Subway!
