Thank you so much. My mom is doing better and was able to come home yesterday but i stayed an extra nite but i did bring over my own food from home so that helped. But i didnt want to leave long enough for my walk. But i did do several little workouts with my reistance bands. I plan on going back home today since i live just a few miles away. Thank you so much for the support

sorry to hear about your mum.
Hope things improve for you both, soon.

As others have said, just make good decisions be your next choice, as often as you can in the circumstances.

You'll get fully back on track when things settle, likely

First, forgive yourself for yesterday. You're under a lot of stress over your mother and the added responsibilities you've taken on. It's also hard when you're in someone else's home, because you may not have the space to exercise, or the healthy foods you rely on. Take it slowly right now; do the best you can. Spark People understands that losing weight will never be an "all or nothing" exercise. Life sometimes gets in the way of our best intentions, and right now you're dealing with a difficult, probably unexpected, situation. Just do the best you can, and don't let your guilt over not exercising and eating things that you shouldn't have get in the way of your long-term, over-all weight loss plan.

Try to take it one decision at a time. Make the healthiest choices you can and don't beat yourself up if you mess up. If you find yourself spending long hours at the hospital, take a break and walk around the parking lot if you can. Good luck!

My mom went in the hospital yesterday, she has been having problems with her heart. After a long day in the ER and finally got her settled in her room., i came to stay at her house with my 13 yrs cousin she has had since birth and their dogs. I wasnt able to take my afternoon pain meds so by the time i got settled here i planning on at least my nite walk with her dogs because i missed my resistance band workout and my aerobics for the day. But the pain was just too much and i forgot my knee braces.
Now this morning i actually feel blahhhh cause i got no excersices in and i found my self eating a lot more. I know it was emtional/ stress eating because i know i wasnt really that hungry. I worked so hard to get that 8 lbs and 4 inches off and afraid i have ruined it all in my one. I told my self so any excuses to not workout last nite, even had toice my knee and call mt husband to bring something else for the pain since it got so bad in my left knee.
I might be here for a few more days and have to somehow get back to my normal however i know i will be at hospial most of the day. What do i do to not totally ruin what i have already lost?
