hey! we've all been there, or are currently there... last night was a crazy free for all for me (ice cream pie, oh lord!) and today i'm eating fruit and forcing myself to get back on track. one meal, day or weekend of bad eating choices should not un-do everything we've all worked hard for! if one weekend of bad choices means you'll maintain or gain a little this week, that's better than a month of poor eating choices; how much weight would THAT put back on you? it's all about taking the lesser of two evils. i'd rather gain a pound or two this week, reign it in and lose it the next week, than be up 5-10 lbs in a month bc i was so bummed over ONE bad day or weekend of eating that i said "screw it" and gave up for the rest of the month. i struggle with this everyday of my life. so, let's both of us (and all other folks in our same boat) start over today!!! yay for us!!!!!!!

Did lightening strike you after you ate that pepperoni pizza and cheeseburger ? If not, I wouldn't beat yourself up over it.
One less than healthy meal or even weekend WILL NOT derail your efforts at good health. Don't look at weight loss with an all or nothing mentality. Remember, you're trying to change habits learned over a life time. that's not going to happen overnight, a week, a month or even a year. Change takes time. Thus the need to be patient with yourself and your body.
The fact is, Spark People has never been about deprivation. It's all about moderation and portion control. There is absolutely no reason a piece of pizza or cheeseburger can't be a part of a healthy lifestyle. it's just a matter of being mindful of your portions.
AND if you weren't very mindful of your portions over the weekend, then you try to be more mindful for the rest of the week. The beatings are not productive. You ate the food. you log the food. you move on.
You didn't do anything wrong. You didn't derail your efforts at good health. You ate a cheeseburger, that's all. no need to worry. Just do your best to be more mindful for the rest of the week.

I had a bad weekend. Saturday we went to a friends and I ate and drank to much! I had a bottle of wine and cheese crackers and PEPPERONI! (so much that I got sick Sunday morning) I also went out and had a cheeseburger and fries and did NOT work out Fri-Mon
Need to get my butt moving but feel bad and need a little spark.. Help
