I met my wife over the internet. I think it's a great way to met folks that you may never run into otherwise. Since I'll assume that you're looking for someone who is a bit more than a pretty boy, I'd start asking about what activities he likes to do. Offer to go on walks or bike rides for dates. This will help weed out the unfit guys. Keep in mind that if you're in it for something more, keep your mind open to different guys.
yeah right!! No offense, but no way in HELL is that true. Take a look around everywhere you go. All you see is freakin women! No offense to my own kind. There has to be at least a 3 to 1 ratio somewhere on a chart somewhere. I can't believe you guys think this! Sorry!

NO.. that he thought the opposite was true. that men outnumbered women
cocky and arrogant men are such a huge turn off for me, and unfortunately, most of the fit muscular guys I have ran into are that way. You really have to sift through some, but what I would recommend is to find a down to earth humble guy who is average and wants to be real fit. If you can find them. Most of those are married or in a committed relationship. I said it once and I'll say it again. There are just too many women in the world and not enough men. LOL!!
Your best bet would probably internet dating sites since they are now considered respectable. Spend a few bucks and get one tailored to your needs.
Although, the old axiom "you can't find what you want until you stop looking" is a good one.

I have never tried to look for a single fit guy but I do know that single fit girls are hard to find...lol. Maybe try to make new friends that are into fitness, married or not, and then they can introduce you into to some of their friends who they think you would be a good match together. Good Luck
Why do you think I want to get in shape :) Success at da club is better than eating says I ;)

Hi there, female lurker here :) (hope you don't mind!)
Have you checked out meetup.com? In my area there are a few different meet-up clubs that do different activities, such as a hiking club, camping club, biking/running club, etc. They get together on a regular basis. Maybe you'd have luck with something like that.
@Fitgirl: Take a look at the quiet guys at the gym in the corner writting down their routine. They are usually dressed with loose fitting shirts and what looks to be hand-me-down shorts and sneakers. Some of them are married and some of them are not. Chances are they are nice guys.
Other than that go to your local comic book store and find a gamer geek and whip him into shape and tailor make him to what you want him to be. From Gamer Geek: To Fantastic Physique!
just stay away from the bars and other seedy places if your looking for the real deal!

Why would I know the answer to this? I'm not exactly looking to pick up a single, fit men.
Here is a newsflash though, men that are fit are usually confident and yes, a lot of them can be a little full of themselves, in my opinion. So expect to wade through that mess.
My only suggestion/idea is to do fitness type things. Races, coed sports, rock climbing, hiking, whatever float yours boat. I've seen lots of hookups happen here. It's mostly the 20 somethings, but some of us mid-30's geezers (ahem, me) are still doing these activities.
Guys... you'd know the answer to this... Where's the best place for a single 35 year old woman to find a stable, single man, who's also into being health conscious? You'd think the obvious place would be the gym, right? well, I find men that frequent the gyms I go to, to be either married or so arrogant and full of themselves that they have no time for dating a real woman.
Your thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!
