I'm actually recovering from anorexia, and was also in treatment. I met a girl who was also getting treated there (but for BED) and was treated very poorly because of it. Hearing how upset she was really hurt me, because I feel terribly for people who are misunderstood. Binge eating is just as bad as starving, and you deserved help just as much as a bulimic or anorexic would. I have binged in the past before (because of fasting) so I can't say I completely understand, but I do get that feeling of not being able to stop. And never feeling content. I'm so sorry that you went through that, please let me know if you ever want to talk. I'm here! Just a click away :)

You might want to do a SparkTeam search for this topic. My guess is that there's at least one team related to what you've discussed.

I recently got help for my eating disorder, and while I was in treatment I was shocked to learn that not very many people understand that binge eating is also an eating disorder. Are there other people here who are binge eaters, or is there a board for binge eaters? I am eager to talk about my relationship with ED and to exchange tips on managing a healthy diet to avoid binges.
