I started SparkPeople about 4 years ago and was consistent for about a month. Would check back every now and then but nothing consistent.

In November I got a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes. I decided at that point to get serious about SparkPeople and I've made a few changes in my life.

I have lots of "fat" clothes, including jeans that don't have a button close. Yesterday I went to shop for jeans and told myself I wouldn't try anything larger than a 16. The 16's fit! I haven't worn a size 16 anything for at least 20 years. Had to do a little happy dance in the fitting room.

I feel so good about this small success and am very motivated to keep on keepin' on. emoticon
