I pretty regularly eat the same thing each morning..its 1/2 c. dry oatmeal in 1-1/3 c water..simmer. While that is simmering..I add 2 T flaxmeal to the bowl, 1 T. coconut oil, and a peeled, cored, chopped fresh apple..then I add the cooked oatmeal, sprinkle cinnamon..and oh my goodness..it tastes like apple pie..oh I did miss one ingredient..the stevia. I sprinkle that on to taste along with some salt ..if you like. Hope you enjoy as much as I do..
If you have access to a blender then smoothies! There are so many combinations of fruits and yogurt and such that you can make. Such a refreshing breakfast and a great way to get a lot of fruit into your diet!
You don't say what your "routine" breakfast is but a few simple suggestions might be:
a "protein" shake using your fav fruits, plain yogurt, lo-fat milk (or soy/almond) milk, and a vanilla flavored protein powder.
breakfast burrittos using eggs/egg substitute, lo-fat cheese, and maybe some salsa or pico di gallo wrapped in a whole wheat shell. (We sometimes make a few at a time, store them in a container and then just micro and eat them on the go)
Baked oatmeal is also good (my son eats it cold) - this is another item that makes more than one serving so you don't have to do a lot of thinking/preparing in the morning.

I am a college student and I am use to eating the same thing for breakfast every morning. What should I make to spruce things up a little bit? Any good breakfast ideas?
