I did do more strength training last week and no cardio. Went back to adding cardio this week. I just enjoy the strength training more than cardio but now I realize you need both.

It could just be other circumstances - are you working out harder? Strength training? Your body could be adjusting to the new muscles :)

Should I be staying under the recommended calorie total in order to lose more pounds or just stay closer to the lower amount? I gained 1 lb for the first time this week and I didn't really splurge on any day this week. I hope this is not my plateau already.
