Running a 10k. Tomorrow and can't wait its a parkinsons fundraiser prolly 600 or more people that was last years turn out

I'd say so! Wow! That was awesome. What was your time? I've hit a plateau for now but I will do some speed workouts again. I'm pretty much in the 28:45 range for 5k's. On my 6-miler, I averaged a 9:40 mile, so I'd like to take a shot at a 60-minute 10k one of these days!

Sounds like we both did well then. I had a decent race. I placed 32 out of almost 600.

I'm doing the exact opposite. LOL! I'm driving 30 minutes, plopping down my $25 and doing a 5K. I got roped into it though. I'm a sucker that never seems to turn down a race. haha.

Although admittedly if I wasn't going to a race tomorrow, I would not have run at all. emoticon

I can't wait to get out and run tomorrow morning. I will be skipping a 5k i had initially thought I'd run, because I am thinking of running a 6-mile route in my home town instead. I need the longer run for my training plan, and to clear my head. I feel bad in a way to skip the 5k, but I can save the $25 entry fee and 30-minute drive and just get the workout I need in- there will be other races!

I've got some cooler-weather running gear ready if I need it. Bring on fall runing!
