my sister and i were talking about this couple of months ago. when i was a teenager i usually wore a size 12 and i weighed somewhere betwen 110-115. last time i lost weight, i went down to 165 and i was wearing size 10s. plus if you go and try on clothes today, often you can fit in 2/3 diff sizes depending on the mfg, etc. more expensive clothes seem to run bigger??

I just read someone's blog that said her measurements were now 35-27-35 and she had gotten down to a size 6. This made me wonder if sizes have really changed that much since the 70's?

When I was 14-17 yrs old those were my exact measurements. I wore a size 12! I did squeeze into a tall size 10 once but that was pushing it. at the time I was 5'11" and weighed about 130 pounds. People didn't stop telling me that I looked sick until I got up to around 145-150 lbs. where I wore size 12-14 clothes.

Have sizes changed that much? If I were the same weight today would I be a size 6?

(Note: I do not strive to be any size anymore other than one where I feel great!)
