Are there any that are lactose free though? Just wondering. That is why I use cool-whip. I only have about a teaspoon once in a while (not even once a month) with my jello

You can make whip topping from skim milk! It Has to be Skim milk. Just beat milk on high setting with beaters until thick and frothy..you can add a small amount of powder sugar for sweetness if you wish..use immediatly-can't be stored without returning to milk.

If you have a Trader Joe's, they make their own version which should be chemical-free. :)

Try googling homemade coolwhip. Many recipes come up.

I read the ingredients on a Cool Whip package and think it is full with chemicals. Do you know a more healthy alternative of making a cool whip substitute.

Sure, I know there is heavy Whipped Cream, but it has so many calories. emoticon
