I've never done CrossFit, but know people who like it. If it's the workouts you're not sure about, you can check out the crossfit website (I think it's crossfit.com) and get the workout of the day and stuff like that. It's not really my style (one day, the WoD was "run 10K". Um, no thanks.) and I think that Crossfit Gyms charge ridiculous ammounts of money for people to join, but if it's your thing, go for it.

I did CrossFit from Dec 2010 through May of 2011. I fell in love with it! The variety - pushing myself to new extremes (well for me things like jogging were extreme :O)). I did love it! I would love to get back at it. I just currently have no room in the budget for the membership. If you find the right gym - there is an amazing sense of community and support. It's really neat to see how eating right helps your performance. And those regular personal records were fun to meet. I miss my Crossfit family and have kept up through FB. My doctor felt it was a little much for me and suggested that I focus on just walking. Sometimes I wish he hadn't said that, as it inspired me to do things like finish my first 5k. I'll be back in as soon as we can afford it!

I just finished my first week of CrossFit and I am really enjoying it. It can be as hard as you want to make it plus every workout is different. I signed up to try and break through a plateau and hopefully it works.
If you are into higher intensity and wanting to push yourself I would i highly recommend you try out a session.
