What? I am doing a 1000-Day Streak (see other thread) and I don't have anything to add for the weekend? Looks like I must have screwed up already.

Well, I am not good at posting regularly, but I might as well when I think of it!
Put me down for two strenth training sessions, 10 minutes each, one yesterday and one today. [I usually don't do them on consecutive days but I want my weekly total to come out right and its almost the end of the week :) ] Is that only two points? I'll scroll back to find out--anyway, every little bit adds up.

By the Way, My Heavy LB Routine:

Cybex Glute Machine (also works hamstrings and quads)
3 sets of 8 at 150 pounds

Cybex Leg Press - Quad Focus
3 sets of 8 at 210 pounds (OUCH!)

Cybex Leg Press - Glute and Hamstring Focus
Pyramid 3 sets of 15, 10, and 8 at 130, 150, and 170 pounds.

Quad Extension Super Slow Reps
3 sets of six 10-second reps at 50 pounds

Lunges with a Barbell
2 sets of 10 for each leg at 40 pounds

I don't do any calf focus because I like the amount of work my calves get from other exercises.

I don't do heavy squats anymore because the fitness center I go to got rid of the Squat Cage and replaced it with a Smith Machine. I hate the Smith Machine. My squats are limited to what I do with my Firm videos.

"Heavy" is what takes me to failure on the last set and turns my legs into jello by the end of the routine. The above may sound light to you or impossibly heavy to you; heavy to you is not the same weight as heavy is to me.

173 + 3 = 176 for Heavy Weight Training Legs. I couldn't get my lunges done because I was already toasted by the time I go to them (I'll try them again tonight). Jello Legs just don't cooperate very well.

There were a few other people reporting in here earlier but not lately.

168.5 + 4.5 = 173 45 minutes in the pool today. 50 laps in 35 minutes (10 minutes of stretching)...new record!!! I really pushed it hard today because I didn't have as much time. Way to go guys!!! Are there only 3 of us on this challenge?

I'm doing the bare minimum so as to not lose much ground during my lay off time due to work load:

153 + 5 = 158 for Firm Tough Aerobic Mix plus some medium weight lunges.

I did an hour in the pool yesterday. 60 lengths (laps) of a 25m (metres) pool. Not sure what that is in American LOL. I did about 45 minutes of swimming and 15 minutes of stretching. So count me in for 6 points.

147 + 6 = 153.

Keep going team...we have a long way to go but we're doing great!

Hydrotherapy class 4.5 points, so + 142.5 = 147. You're right about enjoying your exercise. I love my walking, especially first thing in the morning.

I'm wondering about going line dancing. The classes last about an hour but there's a short break between each dance. Would that count for, say, 45 minutes?

I agree totally. I feel bad for people who can't find exercise they enjoy. I am fortunate in that I enjoy running, hiking, and doing exercise videos - - especially The Firm. I actually hate heavy weight training but I only have to do each body part once per week for a very short time so I just do it for the results.

I find that the more enjoyable the activity the more I'll want to do it again! Why do exercise that you hate? Makes no sense to me!

"lenghts" are laps of a pool. I live in Canada and we call them lengths. It is a 25m pool. That would be half an Olympic size pool. Keep up the great work guys!

Just read throught this list in a little more detail. As for the skiing trip...I skiied for 10.5 HOURS not minutes. By my calculations it should be 63 points total. 10.5 hours equals 630 minutes. Am I right here? So because we were already given the 10.5 and we should have gotten 63...lets add another 52.5? Can someone check my math for me please? So new total 74.5 + 52.5 = 127!!!

Add 9 points for me....30 minutes doing lengths and 60 minutes in aquafit. 66.5 + 9 = 75.5. Way to go team!!

I was a work-aholic on Friday. My only opportunity to work out was before 5:00 a.m. Even after 10:00 p.m. we were out with the telescope.

Saturday: Firm Tough Tape 2 44 minutes plus 16 minutes extra stretching = 6 points

54 + 6 = 60

Sunday: No kids around so I was a reading slug all day. I blew off everything except laundry, dishes, and eating.

I did 30 min of cardio, 20 min of weights and 10 min of crunches/stretching(the real stretching is under the stretch challenge) yesterday. the total is now 40!

11 + 3 (Stretch and Weights) + 10.5 (Skiing) + 4.5 (Hydrotherapy) + 5 (Firm Tough Cardio Mix Skipping Stretch But Adding an Abs Video) = 34

I didn't subtract any lift time out of the skiing. You were outside getting the health benefits of the sunlight in your eyes, the relaxing view, etc. so why bother to try to figure out what to subtract. A big bonus you got with skiing is that you probably reduced your cortisol levels or at least kept them under control. Nowdays, cortisol is known as the stress hormone. Hormones out of balance lead to poor physical and mental health, higher risks of serious diseases, and excess body fat stored around the middle.

I counted the half point for the 5-minute portion of hydrotherapy so that the number would end up as a whole number again.

Well I was on a 2 day skiing trip. (And boy am I in pain now!!!) We skiied 8 hours on the first day with about 1.5 hours of breaks...but I don't know how to calculate this because sitting on a chair lift isn't really exercise. And then today we skiied 5 hours with an hour break. So if anyone can figure this out for me please feel free to add the points. I love being a part of this.

The team earns one point for every 10 minutes of exercise other than walking or running. Count your running/walking mileage under that team challenge - - no double dipping. Also, if someone starts some other mileage challenge: biking, swimming, cross country skiing . . . then don't double-dip these either.

Start: 5 Points for Taebo Get Ripped Advanced Volume 1 with my work group.

The cover says the workout is 60 minutes but covers are often wrong when it comes to the actual length of an exercise video. I didn't think of this challenge until slightly past the Taebo warm-up so I didn't check the clock until then. This video may actually be a 6-point video.
