I just took about 2 weeks off and the first workout back caused some serious DOMS. 2 years, ouch!

So how is it going? Are you sticking to it and has the soreness improved?

Nice going,but I agree dont make it either or with the sex,I know that would kill my motivation.

(But, you may want to forego something else instead of sex next time, to fit both a workout and sex in. Just a suggestion!)

Ok, so I am still sticking to it, I am not as sore as I was the first time, its not easier, but I can feel that if I stick to the routine and make it a habit it will work. I am faithfully following my workout schedule, I even passed sex just so I could go work out! Now if thats not determination I don't know what is.

That's why the 3+ week rule applies, I think- then it becomes a habit!

I am usually good for the first couple weeks, then I would get too busy and start making excuses...

Good.

Now make sure you go again.

I think the second, and third, etc., are the hardest. Stick with it, and make it become a habit. Should take 3-4 weeks.

Well I have been off work for 2 official years, and haven't hit the gym in that time. My first workout was the hardest, and honestly not because my body wasn't use to it, rather because I know what I needed to do and I had to stop making excuses and just do it. I am sore, but it was totally worth it!
