When I am in a social eating situation where I do not wish to eat, I make sure that I have a beverage to sip on (usually water or another non-caloric beverage). If I am tempted to nibble, I just take a sip of water. Then I can also see how often I was tempted based on how much water I drank. It also keeps me feeling full.

I am so proud of myself. I didn't overeat. Nobody brought snacks. We all had coffee and I had almonds for my snack and a muffin--which was still in my calorie range because I didn't finish dinner.

Next time I'm gonna finish dinner and just bring a snack or two.

Thanks for the advise.

While I am sure you had a great time last night, for future game night a few things to consider are:

1. Planning for the event--in other words, factor in the calories of some of the foods you know will be served and track them in your nutrition tracker BEFORE you go.

2. Bring your own healthy options

3. Get in a little more activity

4, Never arrive hungry to any event.

I hope this helps and I hope you had a great time!

Game night, the night we play board games has always been the worst night for my diet, any diet. All the snacking and nibbling going on around me! I don't know what to do. I'm so scared that I'm gonna start nibbling and snacking with them. What do I take? What do I eat? What do I not eat?
