Wednesday, I was running around and had to drive a distance for a baby shower. I found no fast food joints and no grocery stores. I was a very rural area and did not know my way around. I found a large gas station with lots of cars.
I knew that the party would have tons of sugary foods that I just did not want to eat because I was so hungry. I looked in the gas station for something that would hold me over and keep me from binging. I had been out all day and was getting pretty hungry. I bought a bottle of water, a bag of cashews and a small beef jerkey stick thingy. I was thinking avoid sugar if possible. Get some serious protein. I knew that I was getting too much salt from the jerkey but I figured it was better than potato chips since my blood sugar has been out of whack lately.
I could not find any fresh fruit. I don't believe bottled juices have much nutrition and figured that it would spike my sugar. I did not want to drink milk becaus of the sugar spike issue and the gas one at an event filled with people in a tiny house.
I wonder what would you have eaten? Did I do so badly?
