PS2.........Trinity hit it right on the head. It's about testing how far you'll allow yourself to be pushed, manipulated, etc. The fact you had "the conversation" previously shows either she wasn't listening or doesn't care. Either way, move on and find someone who'll respect your feelings.

@sailor64, whenever I can't figure certain things out about my husband, I turn to a guys advice. Why would I ask another woman why my husband acts or says certain things that I don't like?

@OP, maybe she is a co-dependant type gal and thinks that if you get fat nobody else will be interested in you. Just a thought.

I have no problem with her bringing all that food to her house. But bringing it to mine feels like an invasion. My house is a good food zone and I believe she needed to respect that. Especially since we had this conversation before we started dating.

We all need loving. Eating is our own responsibility so don' t hang eating too much or wrong on someone else.

@Sailor64. We're girls. We're nosy and can't help ourselves. See the thread "Why do girls post in here" for more input.

Now, to the original topic.
She's testing you. It sounds like you laid down the law about how you like to eat. Whether she knows it or not, she's testing your limits, to see whether you will break your healthy habits for her. In other words, is she hot enough to turn your head and make you go against yourself.

It's one way of figuring out whether she can manipulate you, and if so, how she can go about it. Sounds like she might be a high-maintenance girl, which can be a lot of work.

Man, you guys are so funny. I agree that it could be a bit of a challenge not to eat the healthy choices when the junk food is around, but it is possible if you are not a junk food addict. Also it's kinda cool that the women chime in; as I said earlier they rock (even the heavier ones).

First, Why do women insist on putting in their '2 cents worth' on a Forum entitled "The Guys' Lounge?"

Next, in answer to your question, I believe it's her own insecurity. She probably craves sweets and can't have them at your house because you don't keep that stuff in the house. She figured if she bought cake, cookies, etc... it would be okay for the two of you to share.

I applaud your decision to cut her loose. Next time, spend a little more time getting to know her lifestyle needs before getting involved to the point where she feels it's okay to put her food in your fridge.

Good luck, dude.

Hahaha. Nah, never dated one. Not into them.

But you'd be amazed how much fit women eat, even if it's just once a week or so. Ordering a salad when they're ordering a main course? Not very manly. I wouldn't say that I alter my diet completely when around them, but I ain't drinking wine if the woman I'm with is having a beer, or a cocktail.

I tend to go a bit lax on my diet when sex is thrown into the equation.

By the way, just because the food is bought doesn't mean you have to eat it.

It is HARDER to have it around, no doubt, because the temptation is there. But think of it as a challenge- have that healthy food instead!

I think a healthy lifestyle is a bit out of perceived 'comfort zone". So, it's easier to buy the fattening comfort food, and have those beers, and sit around watching TV, than it is to resist.

It is a lot easier to be a couple if you are on the same page. If you're not, then one or the other may feel resentment, insecurity, etc.

Good for you to realize it early, for both of you.

Did you ask her Why she brought the junk food into the house in the first place? Is she into eating healthy, working out, maintaining a healthy lifestyle? If you arent on the same page as far as a healthy lifestyle goes, it will be harder. I just broke up with a guy for similar reasons. Finding someone who wants to prepare healthy meals with you and be active together speaks for itself.

She is gone for sure. Any idea why a women would rather have a fat unhealthy guy over one that is healthy and in good shape. I can not figure this out.

Just started dating a new girl. She wanted to go grocery shopping, after we bought the things we needed she went right out the next day a bought cake, cookies, chocolate, and a ton of ice cream. I was quite clear on how I do that sort of stuff. I then told her to take the food home and stay there until she can cooperate with my life style. Not sure why she wants me fat. Any ideas?
