I don't like the menu planner. Most of the foods listed I wouldn't eat. I have more fun determining my own menu.

I completely understand that, though there are a large group of people gluten effects not just a handful. I just thought of it as a simple filter like the dietary filter in sparkrecipe. I realize there are nutritional things involved (much as there are nutritional issues with vegetarian meal, and they do have a few other options offered as well so it is not unheard of to eliminate certain types of food from the menu planner.)

For me, before finding out about my GI, I used spark menu options when I was having a busy week and needed to shop healthy. I have really missed that option. So I was just wondering if it was being considered or not. I did turn off the menu planner. Thanks.

This site really cannot accommodate everyone's medical conditions, preferences, allergies and aversions.

I turned off my menu planner and just do it on my own.

I guess I sort of understand. But that is a really big bummer for me. Thanks

Here's an Ask the Expert that explains why we don't offer gluten-free meal plans:

Hey SP staff!! :)
Question for you. I have recently discovered that I am gluten intolerant. I see on the awesome spark recipe site I can search for gluten free recipes using dietary needs option. However, if you like to use suggested meals by sparkpeople in your nutrition tracker, a gluten free filter is not available. Any plans from your programmers to add this option? I would so appreciate it.

Blessings and thanks!
