I have lost more than half my hair. Sleep is disrupted nightly. I have been good about walking and some additional exercise. Overwhelming migraines and pain throughout my body are presenting some challenges. I believe some of this falls into some spiritual warfare. I know I will overcome all of this one day. For that I am most grateful.

You need to make your health a priority. There are no do-overs!

A great week. Lots of walking, lots of getting things done. Lots of time with grandkids and planning an egg hunt and dinner for Sunday afternoon. Just wish I could get to the bottom of the health issues to feel better and have some energy again. Maybe next week.....

Since I have MS, migraines, fibromyalgia and thyroid issues, I figured I wasn't really due for any more health challenges. As a cancer survivor I also know that having one or two significant disease processes going in my body does not protect me from others. I've often thought that the opposite is actually true. Since I struggle in some areas it leaves me open for attacks on other fronts. My latest struggle is a mystery with sudden wide swings in blood pressure and very high cholesterol and other labs also out of order. So, I'm on the road to figure out why my hair is falling out this time and why so many other symptoms are messing with my life. I'm getting in as much exercise as I can and eating pretty clean these days. So, these medical issues are really a mystery. They began before the big stresses of this year started so I can't blame it all on those. I watched my younger brother die in January from alcohol related multiple organ failure. Taking him to the hospital and then sitting with him day and night for more than two weeks was a mixed blessing. I helped as much as I could, but ultimately his body was just too sick. Watching him die was sad and interesting. I'n not actually been present for a death before. I know the stresses with this have hit hard. Our 98 year old mother is crushed and now that he is gone she is alone in her home again two states away from me. I must go out there when I can to help her, encourage her, and keep her company. This is shaping up to be a difficult, though most interesting, year. I so appreciate having this forum to journal about how the challenges of this time of my life affect my health and weight. I've been holding pretty steady, can't seem to get unstuck. Hoping better weather will encourage me to walk outdoors more while not giving up on the weights in our gym. I've also got some fun videos and Wii games that I can use to mix it up a bit. I'm off and running. Have a great day!
