WTG! Hope today is just as successful! Maybe you could hang a motivational poster on it :) out even just a little sticky note (symbol, or phrase on it) or a sticker that only you would know that its your cue to stay on track and keep going. :)

If you have no money to put in it, it might as well not be there, right?
Carry no cash, no change. If it takes credit cards, leave that at home, too.
DO NOT LOOK AT IT. Bring your own vendings from home. Buy some granola bars after checking for calories, fat, and protein since they vary widely from fairly good to dressed up candy bar. Bring an apple to snack on. Bring veggies to munch with some hummus. Anything you can do to bypass a temptation. Good luck!

keep going up the stairs. that is great exercise. Did you see that show on TV where they walked up something like 90 stairs. You should get lots of points for that!

If your office is multistoried, can you go climb up and down then stairs for a few minutes instead? Gets a pretty nice little Workout in quickly. That can also give you stalling time to think on why you want that vending machine's food.

Can you bring your own snacks, so you are not tempted by the vending machine? If you are tempted by it but you are not hungary, can you somehow distract yourself when you have to walk by? Maybe listen to an iPod, or something like that?
Alternatively, the vending machine options are portion-controlled, so maybe planning for something from the vending machine, if it fits your budget, would allow you to stop with one treat. Another idea is to find another bathroom to use, if possible. That would also add some extra steps to your day and burn a few more calories, which is a good thing.

Yeah ours is down the hall too, right across from the bathroom, and I'm drinking my water, so guess who travels past the vending machine regularly!
