I will be 20 in September and I have two kids 11 1/2 months apart. I married my husband a few weeks after my 18th birthday, 4 months pregnant at the time. I wouldn't trade my two boys for anything. I'm glad I had my two boys young and we home in a year to try for another, I feel having kids at a younger age than people use to 50 years+ ago gives my husband, I , and our children more opportunities as we are able to keep up with them better. My parents had my siblings when they were in their early 20's but I was a surprise when they were in their early 40's...due to them being older when I was born, my mom died of ALS at 57 and my Dad was 60 when I graduated high school, I didn't have the same opportunities my siblings did with our parents or as the other kids in my class that had younger parents. I want to be here to watch my kids grow up for a good part of their lives.

I was married at 20 and had my daughter just before I turned 25.

My advice is pay attention to your marriage everyday. Getting married young can be really difficult and there is still a lot of changing for everyone to do. Watch for it and make sure all the chances are happening together. Talk about everything and put your relationship before everything else in the world.

Having a family is amazing and choosing to become a mother is something you will ever regret, no matter how it happens. It is hard, fun, and life changing. My daughter is my best friend and the best thing to ever happen to me.

Hi, I'm 25 years old and I have an 18 month old daughter. My husband and I got married and 3 months later I found out I was pregnant. She has been the best thing to ever happen to me! I absolutely LOVE being a mother and I have to agree that having kids while in your 20's is definitely and advantage I also feel that there are some 20 year old's that may not be ready for it. If you are looking forward to starting a family with the love of your life than nothing else should matter. If you ever want to talk I'm here!

Hey Kayla, I'm 26 right now (with a 4 year old and a 2 year old) My husband and I got married at 21, and I had our oldest at 22. I had lots of stares while PG (especially once my fingers were too swollen to wear my wedding rings), and I had a few people ask us if our pregnancy was planned (she was, she's our honeymoon baby). Be prepared for it, I doubt anyone would ha ve given me those stares/questions if I had been 30 and having children, but there are so many pluses to having kids at this age.

I married at 20, had my first daughter at 25 and the second just before I turned 29. I'm now 45 and they are almost 20 and just turned 16. I am very glad that we had them when we were young. My oldest is engaged and I'm starting to think about her having children. Motherhood was the hardest job I've ever had but absolutely without a doubt the most rewarding too. I wish you and BF the best.

I am 26 with 3 kids. My first was born when I was 20, second the day before I turned 22, and my third at 25. My husband and I married a month after our first was born.
