Good luck to you! I wish you great success with this attempt.

Perhaps it would help you follow through this time if you just focus on 1 or 2 behaviors/steps at a time. Instead of making "lists of goals and plans" and trying to make multiples changes in your behavior at once, try focusing on 1 or 2 at a time ... turning those behaviors into regular habits ... and then moving forward to focus on 1 or 2 addtional behaviors. Or you can set modest goals such as training X number of times per week ... increasing that number as you establish the regular habit.

Around here, some of us call call that method of behavior change "taking baby steps." A lot of us find that the "baby steps" method help us gradually establish firm habits that help us keep us with the desired behavior over the long term.

It's great that you've already got accountability partners. Such people can be a great resource for you.

I've made up a list of goals or exersize plans a few times now with no follow through, well I would start, and then after a few weeks or so, have something stop me from accoplishing my goals and would drop the ball or fall of the wagon, whatever you want to call it. I now am attempting to train for a half marathon, and it will not be easy. I have two kids that require attention all the time, and a husband that feels he needs about as much so I'm waking up at 4:45 in the morning to start this jogging and training. I hope that I can really follow through and go about this in the best way possible. I need it for many reasons, not just weight loss. I have a friend and a sister who are going to hopefully be doing this as well and be my accountability partners.
