Hi! I'm returning to Sparkpeople after an absence of some time. This worked for me the last time and really believe in the approach. People are encouraging and uplifting. Hope everyone feels that same energy every day. I'm a special ed. teacher and grandmother looking to shape up and increase my energy level and mood. Wishing every person success.

Hi Crystal ~ Welcome to SparkPeople. I find that interacting with other Sparks is really the best way to stay motivated and on-track. Taking advantage of the educational aspects of SP is also key to weight loss goal success. Come back to the message boards and read blogs to find people that you feel like you would like to "friend" These folks will help you attain your goals.

WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Hi, Crystal! Welcome to SparkPeople, from a fellow Michigan gal. Your mom is a smart lady if she recommended this place, because the Spark has everything!
When I first joined the site almost five years ago, I pretty much only used the fitness and nutrition trackers, and I eventually fell out of it once I reached my immediate goals. Now that I am involved in different teams and making friends, it's much more fulfilling to log in and participate every day, and the support and motivation from the many amazing people I've met here helps me stay committed and feel enthusiastic about making good choices every day.

Hello, Nice to meet you all.My name is Crystal and I'm 29 for the next 14 days and counting. I have two kids. My daughter is 10 and has adhd and odd. My son is 9 and he has adhd and Aspergers. I have been married for 4 yrs now to Chris. I was told by my mom about this sight and hope to stay on track with my weight lose. Easyer said then done.
