I agree I am thinking of it as wedding pictures last forever I do not want to be spending all this money jus to nit pick everything about myself..

I agree 100%. Think of it as a life style change and it will last for years after the wedding!! :-)

Wedding pictures last FOREVER. That's my motivation.
And yes, your goal should be more permanent. But if you won't work hard for it now, it's even less likely you'll do it later. You SHOULD be in great shape for your wedding (and honeymoon) and then maintain for the future. There's no harm in using the wedding date as your goal.

dont think of it as "losing for the wedding"...think of it as a permenant change you want to make to live a longer and happier life together. if your efforts are just for the wedding, what happens after the wedding?

Use your wedding as motivation. You have a timeline to stick to there too
