Welcome to Spark. You have taken an important step on your journey by joining! I've been a member a little more than two years. I made fantastic progress and lost 100 pounds in the first year BUT I became careless about nutrition and exercise and have gained a lot of the pounds back! I became disgusted with myself and closed my Spark account, but soon realized I NEEDED to be here. I'm back using the nutrition and exercise trackers now - they are so important. So here I am, age 42, starting my weight loss journey AGAIN. I have gained and lost so many times it's hard to count. The last time was about 7 years ago I lost nearly 75 pounds, going from 250 to 177 in a matter of about 7 months, I worked out on the eliptical EVERY day for 1-1.5 hours, did weights, watched what I ate and damn I felt good. My gym started going to hell in a hand-basket and I slowly stopped going, I hate walking on pavement, it hurts. I found an amazing man (the huge weight loss came after a divorce) and got married, I had to lose 20 pounds in 3 months to fit in my dress and I did it. 3 years ago I gave birth to my 4th child (his first) and she had such severe weight issues I fell into a deep depression and gained nearly ALL of it back. I am now 244 and sick of feeling/looking like this. I have tremendous heel pain but I am pushing through it with stretching, ice. I WANT to be a personal trainer for people like me, people who HAVE had to struggle with this all their lives and want someone to help them that understands from where they come. I LOVE working out but just need to REALLY get back into it.
