I'm up to 147. Not getting as many miles as I thought, but still moving.

Just barely but still on track, I'm up to 23 miles towards my goal of 100 miles in March.

I ended up running just over 52 miles in February. I'm setting my March goal at 100 miles. 14 down 86 to go.

How's everyone else doing?

I don't think a break from running is a bad thing. I decreased my 5K time markedly over the course of 2 months doing P90X. I think it was probably Plyo X that helped, but I went from about a 26:30 5K to around a 22 minute 5K without having logged a single mile between races. Not running isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I've not run in about 10 days. I've not been idle just not running. I've done some circuit training, lots of spin classes, and a few swims...just no running. today that changes, going to run about 5 miles and then on Sunday I get back to my schedule of 4 runs per week. I've got a 1/2 marathon trail race 1 week from tomorrow and another 1/2 marathon towards the end of next month. Now is not the time to fall off the wagon.

I'll admit, I go with the flow on races. People tell me they're doing race x and I sign up with them. So I've never heard of Thrills in the Hills, but I'm going to start actively looking for trail runs. There is an 8 miler at Mt. Tabor in May that I have my eye on.

The half marathon is part of the Locomotive Series. I've done all of the races in the series so far.

Brewmaster Bill, great job. RTR is no joke. Yesterday was my 3rd year doing that race and was very happy to finish with a time of 2:01. Those hills are no joke and once you are about 4 miles in they are relentless.

What 1/2 marathon do you have coming up? Are you registered for Thrills in the Hills? If you like RTR you'll like Thrills in the Hills as well.

Holy crap boys, I did my first trail run this weekend. It was around the side of a mountain. What an awesome experience. I blogged about it if you want to know the details. Long story short, try and incorporate one of these into your race schedule this year. Awesome stuff.

Well, I try to run less, but I have an 11.5 mile trail run and a half marathon this month that I've been attempting to train for (poorly). So I expect to drop down a bit.

You guys once again put me to shame.

I am in the range of about 30 miles. emoticon

Maybe 32-33 at most. I haven't kept close track, as it's been indoor on the treadmill and i mainly run for time rather than distance-based indoors right now....... I plan to keep track, with my groovy new GPS watch I bought myself as a X-mas present, when I breakoutdoors in March/April!

January I managed 75 miles. Had some family emergencies that took me away from running the last of the month. February will be "significantly less". February goal is 25 miles, due to vacations, work schedule, family things!

I finished up with 43.4, but I took 10 days off to nurse a strained left quad.

78 miles is a great month, no wonder you're feeling great.

I ran 60 miles in January with a goal of getting to 1000 by the end of the year. This is a VERY aggressive goal for me, we'll see if I can stay committed to it throughout the year.

I put almost 78 miles this month running and road marching. Burnt 15K+ Kcal and down 14 lbs. Feeling pretty good so far!

Zero from playing soccer from single digits to mid forties and ending up with 0mm cartilage over 60% of my left hip. Left wing drives right. I wouldn't trade the experiences for anything.

I am glad this question was raised at the end of last year so I can keep track this year. In December I ran 75 miles, my goal was 62, just a guess would put the year around 400 miles.

Look forward to posting this December!

Ended up with 288 miles in 2011. My goal for 2012 is 500. I also had a goal to run (3) 5Ks in 2011 and I ran 6. So in 2012 I want to run (6) 5K's and (2) 10K's.

I'm stoked to find this topic. I can't wait to post again in December of 2012 that I've run at least 600 miles in 2012 (12 miles per week). I started running in November, mainly so that my return to running wasn't merely a resolution--I wanted a full head of steam before January 1st.

I ran 25 in November and 30 in December. I need to get up to 50 in January.

624!
I set a goal of 12 miles per week and reached it on Saturday. Had lots of non quality miles, but count them anyways. A mile is a mile.

Oh neat, I finally found the stats for the phone app I started using. Looks like I started using it in September and my current total is 130.6.

21.7 in Sept,
48.2 in Oct (woah!),
24.9 in November (weak),
35.9 so far in December.

Makes things a bit more interesting.

133 since July 1st, I had to take six weeks off to heal from some tibial bruising. I'm gonna hit it hard in 2012!

I haven't ran as many miles this year as I have in the past. I had rotator cuff surgery in Feb and back problems off and on through out the year. I have been getting about 15 miles a week now but I want to aim for 30 miles a week. I plan on running the Half-Marathon in St. Louis this coming spring.

I just lack the consistency on the weekends and it really kills my weight loss. I just recently purchased the Garmin 405CX and it is really nice to run and track speed, HR, calories burnt and so on. Plus I can set it next to the laptop and it will transfer it all over onto my dashboard on the Garmin website.

Maybe we should create/track a Guy's Lounge run report to help with those wanting to up/track their mileage.

I'm terribly inconsistent and I have no plan. Not only that, I just started tracking (thanks to my phone). I tend to remember my last pace at the distance I ran and compare (in my head). I do keep track of my race times at each distance. But that's about it.

New Year's Resolution, track runs better. heh. Interested in reading about what others do.

Hmmm, interesting question! I have no idea. I walk a lot and when I run, I walk .25 miles to warm up then run (usually 5K) then walk a bunch more. I have been tracking my known mileage since May on SP fitness tracker and I am over 730 miles, but that includes a lot of lunch walks at work which can be 3-7 miles on their own. This was my first year as a runner, maybe I should keep track of the running part next year!

I can only estimate. I have been pretty solid at about 8-11 miles/week since late April. So, if I say 10, that would be maybe 325-350 range? Not bad! I feel good about that!

There are 3 full weeks left in 2011. That sounds like enough time for you to get to 300!

I have run 270. I was hoping to break 300 this year but did not. I am a relatively new runner and usually run about 3-10 miles a week.
