I took new measurements today. It's amazing what 4 months gluten free have done for me. No more bloating, more energy and, finally, LOST INCHES! Hooray! It took years of effort with no visible reward. In fact, I only got weaker and bigger eating what I thought was "healthy whole grain" foods. Well, it was not a healthy diet for me but now I am finally on the road to good health and fitness. It wasn't easy but I listened to my body and am on the right track now.

Almost every day. Just checking, to make sure the nightmare is not coming back. And that I catch it in time if it is...it is not hard to get rid of 1/4 inch. Wherever it landed. With the help of God and SparkPeople, I will NEVER go back where I was. Hating me. Finally, finally, finally - I like how I look - at least in clothes. I still have a LOT of toning work to do. You know, to tighten up the skin that lost all its little fat cells. And THAT is as hard as losing the weight!!!!! (Maybe harder - as I get thinner, it gets worse!) I have visible muscle, but the skin does not look tight and shiny yet. If anyone knows how to help with this, PLEASE visit my SparkPage!
At least once each month, but if the scale is stuck then I like to take my measurements. I either have one or the other changing, and I do like to see the progress. It helps to keep me on track. My tummy is not moving much, but I have lost inches in my neck, hips, thighs, calves, and bust.

I weigh in every day but to be honest that is counter productive. At my size, my weight fluctuates so much it is weird. But, since the beginning of the year until now, I have lost 9.9 pounds. About a week ago, I weighed in at the gym and weighed in at 309.9 but I never saw the weight again until this morning when I weighed in for our weight challenge. I weighed in at 308.4. But, all through the week, I was at 311, 310, etc.. I know that you should weigh at the same time every day.

My trainer does my body composition weekly. We used to do it every other week because changes are so minimum, but weekly keeps me honest. I can't say "I'll make up for it next week" because every week is next week.

I weigh weekly and get the tape measure out about every third month. Sometimes the way clothes fit changes faster than the scale.
Once a month sounds about right. I tend to measure mine every week or so, but only because the scale is not moving, but I can notice my body changing. It's great to see the measurements go down to confirm I'm on the right track.
