I have noticed that it helps me to set small weight goals to help me get to my big one. Mine are: after I lose 5 pounds: New Workout Shirt 10: Manicure 15: Highlights 20: A new Bikini :) It helps to take baby steps so that you don't feel so overwhelmed

Try to keep the big picture in sight. Why do you want to lose weight? To look better? To feel better about yourself? To be healthier? Whatever your reason, you are worth it, and you can do it. If you mess up one meal, start over the next meal. If you mess up one day, or one week, or one month, you can start again. Just do it!
In case you think I'm being too hard on you, I'm telling myself the same thing. I lost 31 lbs. last year and have had a horrible time trying to stay on track the last 4 months. Everything I'm telling you is also true for me. Good luck!
The key is to find ways to hold yourself accountable to the changes you want to make. Decide what level of accountability you need - is checking in with sparkpeople going to keep you focused, or do you need to have someone waiting for your check in? Do you want support from a weight loss support group like weight watchers or a weekly call in with people all trying to hit their goals? What system will work for your lifestyle? What habits do you want to focus on first?
The main thing is to not give up on yourself! Come up with some small goals, like lose 5 pounds, be able to walk faster, and eat a certain number of vegetables and fruits each day. Look back on all you have accomplished and remind yourself that if you give up you will never get there! Stay strong.

Set some achievable goals; they show you that you CAN do it. Achieve them, then set some more.
Get connected with others through a Sparkteam or two of interest and you will find a support system like never before. Use your Spark program to help you begin your healthy living journey for good.

Im new here to this site. I have had a weigt problem for many years. Took a weight loss challenge class several times and lost 60 pounds. Instead of things getting easier i felt like it just got harder and harder. Im completly off track with eating and exersize and im gaining weight.I cant figure out why this happened exactly. Fell like Im in danger of gaining it all back. Im having a hard time staying motivated. I will be taking another weight loss challenge class. Any advise out there?I think part of the problem is I lost the support system I had and I feel like Im once again alone in this journey.Im very disappointed with myself.
