Hello and welcome :)
I think the biggest motivator for me is tracking my food and exercise as it holds me accountable. When I have not gone for a walk and/or done some other form of exercise my workout tracker does not move and if it does not move then I can not reach my weekly goal of burning 2500 calories through exercise.
I track my food for the same reason, I like to know how my food choices add up (calorie and nutrients) to make sure I fall into the recommended SP guidelines and it also challenges me to make better food choices that still satisfy my tastes and give me big enough portions so that I don't feel like it is a diet, which for me it is not......I am trying to be more healthy in all ways and weight loss will be the reward for putting my self first :)

Hello everyone! I'm new to Sparkpeople and recently found the ad in SHAPE magazine. The reason I am writing today is because I'm in a rut. I was in a "biggest loser" competition at work that ended in May. I believe it lasted for about 5 months. Long story short, I won 2nd place losing 15 pounds give or take. The day of the final weigh in, my boyfriend and I headed for a vacation to the beach. Well, I've gained back 5 pounds and can't seem to get back into that competitive groove I was in with the competition. I guess I've never realized how competitive I really am. But, I really have a goal weight in mind and I can't seem to kick my butt back into gear. I haven't just completely jumped off of the band wagon and am eating loads of crap food, but I have had a hard time getting back to the point of exercising daily and watching what I eat. Is there anyone out there who has some advice for me? Thanks for your time!
