Check out the spark teams page to see if you can find groups where you have common interests/goals. That is a great way to find "buddies". I totally understand your sense of hopelessness--I spent 20 years yo-yoing back and forth between 30-100 pounds overweight--never learning how to maintain the losses--and now I have maintained a 100 pound loss for more than a year, and it's the best feeling ever!! The slow and steady approach worked for me this time--I had been impatient and desperate so many times in the past, but once I decided to be more patient and forgiving of myself and to just not give up--even when progress was slow--I made it to my goal!! Staying here, I think, is easier this time, because I learned the healthy habits better since I did it slowly--
This a a very supportive and positive place--welcome!!

Hello, my name is Tami. I am currently 80 pounds overweight and feel hopeless and helpless at times! I have low self esteem, and being this heavy surly don't help! i am new to this website, and so far, its gave me HOPE! something i haven't had in years..i used to cry myself to sleep, now, i feel like i have hope..also it makes me accountable for myself, what i eat, and i really do tell the truth, i used to be a closet eater, literally and went from a size 5-7 to a 18-20, i do understand that i dont happen in a day, but would love to see some kind of results.. i thank the people who started this, this is the first time im actually excited to be on a diet, i do need a buddy, how can i get one on here?
