I hope you guys don't mind if I join this challenge, too. I'm about a month behind everyone, so my goal is going to have to be smaller than everyone else's.

Right now I'm starting at 160 pounds and I'd like to be at least 153 pounds by July 4. My plan is to log all my food, exercise, and just take it day by day.

I am holding but not losing -- which is better than gaining but I just feel that I can do better. I have cut back on amount of sugar-free gum, which I have been wanting to do. Now need to cut some corners on my calorie intake. I feel like the little engine that could (going uphill!): I think I can, I think I can! Anyway, off to lovely yoga class today.

I've lost 1 lb more and now that makes me only 3 lbs away from reaching my goal as set by my doctors. I can hardly believe that after 3 years 2 months, I'm arriving!

March 2009 SW..........350 lbs.
May 2012 CW.............153 lbs.
per doctor GW.............150 lbs.

I hope I can lose those 3 lbs by the July 4th Challenge. I will have lost 200 lbs.

Hi everyone.
If you read my blog you already know that I had a scale fiasco yesterday. I need to get another scale or find one where I can go weigh myself regularly. As a result of this, I have no new stats to post.

I woke up at 4am and hungry so I had breakfast very early today, which tends not to be the best way for me to start me day. But I will still aim to keep w/i my calorie range and I am going to fitness class this morning, too -- so that's always a good thing!

By the way SongBirdPaula -- I think we are all Works in Progress (WIPs)! Hope you have a happy and healthy day!

Good Luck reaching your goal, SongBirdPaula! My weight is the same as it has been for months and while I'm happy so long as I'm not gaining, I would really like to do better this week and slow down my eating and break through to a trimmer me for Summer. So here's to a very successful week for us all!

emoticon emoticon I'm still staying the same today. I'm not worried nor think about it really any longer. I still have my 4 lbs. more to lose to reach goal. I have decided that my actual goal is going to be to lose these last 4 lbs, but add 2 lbs more just for good luck and to prove to myself I've made a change to a "lifestyle" and not just a "diet". I now need to lose a total of 6 lbs. more on this challenge.

Let's keep up the great work!

I would be very happy if I oculd lose 15 by July 4th. It will put me very close to being under 200. I keep losing and gaining the same 15 pounds, but I would rather keep trying that know I'm going to feel this way for the rest of my life. I am going to make exercise a priority, which I have never done before. I don't care if my homework or housework isn't done, I WILL get in a workout! Good luck to you all!

I'm still maintaining my 5 lbs. weight loss for this challenge.The slower the better because it is staying off.

I had to change my account to my new email and new user name. I chose "songbirdpaula" as I think it will be easy for me to remember. I attended college on a music scholarship in vocal performance. I also changed my signature emoticon from a yellow rose to a Treble clef with eighth-notes.

Hey guys, I had a weak day yest. Ate three enchiladas at the Lodge Dinner and decided NOT to exercise that morning. Well, Im back today, what are ya gonna do right?
Getting ready to do my strength and the first half of my cardio. All I can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Went to fitness class yesterday, will walk today. I've been drinking more water, being more mindful of what I am eating, but need to cut back on calories if I am to get to goal weight. Have to keep reminding myself -- it's not going to happen by itself!

3 lbs down and counting for the emoticon challenge. I'm keeping to my plan and doing my 25 steps with my walker daily. Will I reach my doctor set goal weight of weighing 150 lbs? I will have, by then, lost 200 lbs.

I'd love to join this challenge also, I have been struggling for months not making any progress and really want to make that breakthrough to the next level of healthy eating and choices -- for lifetime! So, July 4 is just over 8 weeks away and my goal is to lose 8 lbs. -- may this Challenge put some wind in my sails!

emoticon emoticon I would like to join in on this challenge. I've been on my journey to the new me since March 2009. I'm finally within sight of my goal weight as set by my doctors. I have only 8 lbs. more to lose to get to weighing 150 lbs and when I reach that, I will have lost 200 lbs. I am disabled and can not do any exercising other than my 25 steps with my walker routine per day. I would like to lose my 8 lbs by emoticon .

Ive upped my exercise...no, wait, back up, I've BEGUN to exercise. I live 2 miles from work and this week I have walked either one or both ways there. I've begun a strength program in the mornings. My eating has been really good for a long time, but I'm tightening it up.

I would like to jump into this challenge also. I have been off track for about a month and need some motivation to get started again. My birthday is also in July (the 13th) and that seems like a good reason to use July 4th as a goal. I would like to lose 15 pounds so that I can finally get under 200.

Today was my weigh-in and I am down 1.7 pounds! I walked 10.65 miles for the week. My goal for next weigh-in is to lose 2 lb and to walk 14 miles for the week.

I got my 3 mile walk in today. I plan on doing about 3-4 miles tomorrow if the weather stays like today's. One thing I like about walking is that my husband joins me. That makes it less lonely.
Tomorrow is my weigh-in and i'm actually excited. I'm hoping to have at least lost 1.5 pounds but more would be better of course....

Line dancing sounds like so much fun! I wish I had the courage to try something like that.
I also weigh myself daily / every other day but i don't report it. My official day is Sunday. I just like to keep tabs on how I am doing during the week just in case I have to change something.

I signed up for aqua and line dancing did ride my bike yesterday and still logging food.

not sure yet about weight. I do weigh self daily but dont report till my official weigh in at tops.)take off pounds senisibly)

I did make an exercise schedule but that dont start till may but will work on one today for the rest of april.

Today has been a rainy cold day so I didn't get my 3 mile walk in. Actually all I did today was set on the couch and read. Right now I am feeling really guilty about it, but i'm not going to beat myself up to bad.
I did log all my food today, its looking good. I usually do really well staying on the lower end of it. I just need to get moving more. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some walking miles in.

Today I plan on making a schedule I have a hard time getting started.
Continue to log food. work on increasing my water.
I will work on less sugar items such as rolls, cookies ect. boughten products 9grams or less.
currently logging paper and pencil. after more in habit may start charting online as that tells me calories without looking it up

My goal is to lose 20 pounds by July 4th. I know its a lot but I can do it.
That will make me under 200 pounds (198.9 lb)!

I will tack my food everyday and get at least 45 min of exercising / 5 days a week, if not more.
I also want to walk at least 10 miles a week.

I like setting Mini goals and dont see one here for July 4th.

I like to lose 14 pounds by july 4 My birtthday is 14th so that would be so cool
