When they start having full screen ads that won't let you see the content under it unless you purchase that product right then & there then I'll go somewhere else, otherwise I'll stay and know that in order for this place to stay FREE it needs those ads.

My thoughts exactly. I've never seen ads so intrusive.

I downloaded Adblock and it really does work. I feel only slightly quilty blocking spark ads. I was ok with them until they started the pop up ones.

I totally LOVE AdBlock! It runs smooth as silk on both Windows and Mac. I've been using it for about three years now and have never had it crash or hang or anything, and it really does block all the ads. I was stunned to find out that there are ads on Facebook! I never saw one until I borrowed a computer that didn't have AdBlock.

No, but if you use Firefox as your browser you can download something called AdBlock for free, and you'll never see online ads again. I haven't seen one in years!

I have used Sparkpeople for many years and love it. I realize most sites such as this need advertising to survive and I have no problem with the traditional type advertising that has been used all all along. I do find these new interactive ads that jump out at you and force you to manually close to be VERY irritating. Is there a paid, ad free version of Sparkpeople I can subscribe to?

Thanks in advance... Bob
