I try to set aside leftovers so I can eat them for lunch, and my boyfriend goes and eats my lunch. He grew up in a house where he competed with his brothers for the last food. Now he is playing his competitive food games with me.

Thank you everyone. What we've been doing is cook and I'll get my helping 1st. Then they either share the rest right away on their plate so there is no left overs or put the left overs away. When we go out to eat, I look online at what is the best things to eat before we go. Only eat half of it and then have the rest the next day for lunch.

Spinach, asparagus and broccoli have low calorie density so eating them makes most of their calories are burned off in the digestion process
Healthy choices such as nuts, small pieces of fruit, yogurt, and so on, will help to maintain glucose levels and speed up the body’s metabolism. Munching on handfuls of these nuts keeps you full
Apples, pears and soup satisfies hunger because your brain perceives it as filling.
Acetic acid in the vinegar may slow the passage of food from the stomach into the small intestine, so your tummy stays full longer so have a vinegar & Vurgin Olive oil Salad.
Add an extra serving of non-starchy veggies to your portion - steamed broccoli, lettuce, some bell pepper strips to munch on - they will add very few calories and it will take you longer to eat your meal and leave you feeling fuller. Then when your daughter and husband have taken what they need, the rest gets put away immediately. Don't leave it out where you're tempted to pick at it.

Make enough for 5 instead of 6...that way there won't be any left over for you. Try making more of what you can have like veggies, eat slower, or give your husband and daughter a head start on eating so that when you sit down they are almost done with there first helping and going for the second. That way you will be able to enjoy their company and not feel you have to eat as much as they do because it is there.

I don't know how many of you have the same issue. My husband can eat about 3 times as much as me and not gain any weight. My 5 year old daughter always ask for more food and is smaller then the normal weight for her age. Because of this I normally have to make a meal to feed 6 instead of 3... which makes it hard for me not to want more since its there. I have been really good since I started and I track it if I do eat more. Any tips?
