GREAT JOB everyone.
SURE come on over. HAHA. I always make too much. I can post the chicken recipe if you want. It is really good. Even my 15 year old nephew liked it the last time I made it. And he is always picky. It has a lot of flavor and low in calories.
with the beer and pretzels is just a great combo.

Ok, here it is:
Pretzel - crusted chicken (from Taste of home HEALTHY cooking magazine)

4 cups min pretzels
5 cooked bacon strips coarsely chopped (I USE Hormel BACON BITS, easy and low cal)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 TBSP Dried parsley flakes
1 egg
1/2 cup light or non alcoholic beer
1/3 cup all purpose flour (or I use King arthurs unbleached white wheat flour)
1 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1 broiler/fryer chichen 3 lbs cut up and skin removed (I USE 8 TYSON FROZEN CHICKEN BREASTS)

place pretzels, bacon, cheese and parsley in food processor or blender: cover and process until coarsely chopped. Transfer to shallow bowl.
in another shallow bowl, whisk the egg, beer, flour, and spices. Dip a few pieces of chicken at a time into the beer mix, then dip in the pretzel mix place chicken in a 9x13 baking dish coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 350 for 40-50 min or juices run clear.

The potato recipe is on the back of the lipton onion soup box.

Well, today i did do the iron core kettlebells workout BUT I watched the warrior 2 workout and said NO WAY! And went back and did the Warrior 1 workout with the 30 lb bell. I couldn't get through all of it and rested a bit, but still good sweat. and I was surprised I could do the snatches with that heavy of a weight.

Well, time is slipping away pretty fast today need to get some stuff done.

Hey all!!!
Did 116 minutes on the treadmill!! I watched a movie (Life as We Know It) it was cute. Kept me entertained.
I am down 1.8 pounds this morning!! Much better then the 2 ounces!! I'll weigh tomorrow for my official weigh in.

Beckie~ It would take me about 2 hours tops to get to your place for dinner on Saturday, see you then!! LOL!! Sounds really good!!

I am late to the party, but I have already lost 2 pounds this month. I'll start there since I was already 208, went up to 210 then back to 208.

This morning I am currently .4 lbs up but not too bad, I know it flips a lot so this is OK. Just need to keep moving and making good choices. Last night I didn't get the salad cause I forgot to get more romaine lettuce at the store, so Instead I made a bag of frozen green beans and had about 1/2 the bag. Much lower in calories since I didn't have the cheese, ranch dressing and croutons.
Need to come up with something for dinner tonight since I think we maybe going out tomorrow for dinner. Saturday I am making a pretzel crusted baked chicken breast (family coming over) with roasted / baked cut up potatos in olive oil and lipton onion soup mix. I think I am also going to add some baby carrots to that while they are baking for an added veggie.

Today I did Bob's Inside out method cardio conditioning using the 26 lb kettlebell for the swings again. I think I MAY try the Iron Core Kettlebell Warrior 2 workout tomorrow. I am a bit scared. I didn't think I could ever do that one, cause it' uses 2 kettlebells but mine are different weights. But my freind who is working on getting certified said I could do it that way. SO I May attempt and if it doesn't feel right I will go back and do the bootcamp one instead. Maybe next month I can order the Lauren brooks DVD.

I am going to enjoy the nice weather again this afternoon after the kids get home and do homework. It's SO nice. I just can't believe that they are talking about an early winter with snow in the Middle of NOV!!!!! Not when it's 75 degrees right now.

The weight has finally started dropping off! I knew it wasn't all a real gain a few weeks ago on the trip, but it takes a long time to see it all go away again.

My legs did fine after my little bit of zumba yesterday. However, my left leg did not feel good when I tried some kettlebell swings today. So I cut my routine short and stopped at 15 minutes. It feels like "2 steps forward and 1 step back."

Great job so far everyone. Keep going and NEVER give up. Oh, some of you may want to write down your measurements at the start of the month too, and then re-check at the end of the month. Sometimes I can only lose 2 lbs, but end up losing at least 1/2" in arm, thigh, waist, and hips EACH place. And that really ads up to looking better no matter what the scale may say. I do write it down so I can reference back.

Today I was able to do Jillian's No more trouble zones circuits 1-4 and then add in killer buns and thighs and I did level 3!!! OUCH! Saturday I will go back down to level 2 again.

It's still sunny all this week and highs in 70's and may hit 80's later this week. WOW and they say it's OCT?!?!?! COOL. I like this. Maybe a bike ride will be in order for Sunday afternoon with the kids.

Have you tried any new foods this week? I still am chicken to try something.

Made the 5 hour drive home today and stayed within my calorie range. Only 12 minutes of aerobics, but Zumba class tomorrow!

I did a little exercise today -- a little zumba to test how my injured legs would react. My left leg cramped up as soon as I started exercising, but I was careful and I don't think I did any more damage. And of course, I iced it afterwards. I'll see how it goes.

I am proud of myself for re-starting the exercise habit ...but I am struggling to re-establish a healthy eating pattern. Vacation reminded me of how good unhealthy food can taste.

Oh what a bummer of a morning. I came home after dropping my oldest off at school ready to get my great 1 hour with Bob's workout in, and 1/2 way through I get a phone call from hubby to see if the Workmen's comp auditor can come over early instead of his scheduled 10:30 appointment cause his 2 other ones didn't show or canceled and he was only 20 min out. FINE, let me jump in the shower and clean up. I thought about finishing and being all gross when he came but I didn't. HAHA. good thing he came early, it seemed to take a bit longer than they first told us and then I would have had a hard time getting the little one to school.

At least I got in 30 min, better than 0. Need to make some good food choices then today since I didn't get the burn I wanted. Maybe chicken patty's with salad tonight.

Scale is holding steady, would like to see a drop soon but I know I am in my last 5-10 lbs to lose which can be difficult.

I am back from vacation and ready to "start the month." Last month, I only lost 1 pound -- but that was better than gaining anything. Unfortunately, I gained it back over my recent vacation. This morning, my first morning back home, I weighted 182 -- the same as I weighed at the beginning of September.

So ... I am just going to start again this month with the same goal as last month.

Today I did 40 minutes of aerobics and really felt like I got a workout. I'm trying to do at least 10 minutes a day of low impact aerobics, and then step it up 3 or 4 times a week. Because I had to go to my daughter's to help her with child care, I didn't get to Zumba today (sigh), but I'll be back in town to go on Wednesday. My calories have been good, so I'm looking forward to going home and getting back into my routine.

Great to see so many of us here!!

I had a busy weekend, I tried to be good with the food. The scale still said 194.2 this morning so I must have done alright, unless it shows tomorrow.
Didn't feel to good this morning so got some extra sleep instead of exercise. I think it worked I'm feeling pretty good now.

Yesterday I did do Bob's IOM cardio conditioning again with the 26 lb kettlebell for swings and today I did Iron Core Warrio 1 kettlebells (20m)
The scale keeps flipping back and forth between 1 lb the last few days. SO I will wait and see what happens at the end of the week for an actual loss or gain.

Busy week again this week back and forth at school and home.

Nutrition and exercise both have to be used to lose the fat.

I'd like to join again this month. I have done this challenge all summer and really haven't lost. I go back and forth the same 5 pounds but at least it really isn't a gain. I'd like to lose 5 pounds this month but to be under 150 would be great! Good luck everyone!

I weigh in every 2 weeks, with yesterday being it. I weighed 140 (a goal weight!) and lost about 7 pounds for the month of September.

October's goal is a modest 5 pound weight loss. If I can maintain 140 until Friday, I will be buying my goal "treat". This goal treat is the Jillian Michael's set of dumb bell weights.

My husband and I talked about weight loss last night. He has agreed to make a profile on SparkPeople and one of WiiFit Plus. I told him that he didn't have to socialize, but he needed to use the tools.

So far I've been challenging myself too hard, and never managing to acheive it. This smaller challenge looks good to me.

Last month I managed to shift 4 pounds, so I'd love to acheive that this month.

Well it took me a month to lose the last 2 lbs so hopefully I can do it again. Doctor says it is because of all the exercise and strength training. Muscle weighs more than fat but it is discouraging when those scales don't move. Good luck to you all ! emoticon

Good afternoon everyone. It's sunny, but cold today. I am near the rapids one. SORRY.
I was able to sleep in this morning which was a nice change. Which means tomorrow I will be getting up with the 5 yo so hubby can sleep in.
Well, I was able to do Jillian's No more trouble zones circuits 1-4 with the 5 and 10 lb weights and then added in Level 2 of Killer buns & thighs. LOVE IT.
Trying to decide what to have for dinner tonight that is light in calories and something HOT with this cold weather.

Do your best you can with everything.

Hi Everyone! I am back, after fallin off track in July until yesterday, but since then, I have quit smoking, was 2 weeks on Tuesday. :) Don't wanna gain more weight with everything tasting sooo good! lol

Last month I was able to lose 3 lbs, I am hoping to get at least 4 or more off in Oct. Which will put me close to my goal weight.

Come join us in setting small goals to reach at a time. Starting Oct 1 we will weigh in and post our starting weight and our goal for Oct 31.

Post as often as you would like, weigh in as much as you want. Please do post on how you are doing good or bad. we can help motivate you to stay on track. I know this is a hard journey, I am still struggling but I know I can NOT give up. each tiny little bit adds up and get us to our end.

Set some small goals to acheive to help you along the way.
