So here is my first friday weigh-in :) getting closer to that GOAL YAY I hope i make it!!!

You can do it CAY!!!! I know it can be bugsome sometimes to track but it helps so much. I usually plan my meals around my tracker. I put everything in and make sure I am inbetween my range!

Great Job to all those that lost! :) I gained 4 lbs this week! I am counting it up to pms and not tracking...I HAVE to track my eating....I always gain when I don't track...OR it is I am not tracking because I am overeating? Anyway~today is a new day and my goal for next week will be to take off these stupid 4 lbs!

Blueskies - I am with you...I do great all week (it IS easier to monitor your intake when you go to work and have to plan out your daily meals!) and then do a bit more cheating during the weekend. The problem for me is that my family is BIG on eating and I see them a lot more on the weekends. It turns into an awkward social situation if I'm chomping on cucumbers while everyone else is noshing down my mom's buffalo chicken dip!
I ease up on myself over the weekends so as to allow myself those cravings I have been having all week...
I do understand the comment that was made about Monday weigh-ins holding you more accountable, but I, like you, need a little bit looser standard for the weekend. It DOES make my weight loss slower (I usually only lose about .5 to 1 lb per week while I bet if I could keep it in check better on the weekend, I would lose more like 2), but it's worth it to me to still enjoy the events/gatherings I attend. I LOVE trying new foods and sometimes, that chicken dip is gonna add up :).

I still do weigh in on Mondays (I don't record it) but it does help with the accountability factor a bit...

I do eat well over the weekend the same pretty much as during the week. My problem is that my rest days are the weekend. So even though I am eating sensibly I am not burning those calories that I usually burn during the week.

Blue, thats why i make my weigh in day monday, so that i am honest over the weekend. Its so much easier to eat well during the week!

I may need to start weighing in on fridays lol. Since I do most of my stuff during the week and the weekends are my break I usually end gaining the few tenths over the weekend since im not doing my cardio. So I think I am gonna start making my weigh in on fridays :) so I am not so worried and disappointed come monday mornings.

I am in! I need some challenges! I have not been tracking since November, but by some miracle I only gained 3 pounds during that time. Tracking and exercising has already paid off!
Thanks for the motivation, everyone, and I am proud of you for doing this!

Friday is my weigh-in day and I am happy to report I am down 1 lbs...this is still only bittersweet because I had gotten to 145.5 about half way through January but had two horrible weekends of food-cheating due to birthdays :(. I'm hoping this challenge will keep me on track all the way through February!
Is anyone else's weigh-in day on Friday??

Count me in. I have the exercise down....but my food intake is wrecking my weight loss. Now that I am working out more, I am CONSTANTLY hungry. This month I will be more mindful of my food intake. Does anyone here use a food scale?

I'm in!!! I weighed 151 on Wed, Feb 1st. This morning I somehow lost 3 lbs and am at 148.4 but I somehow don't believe it. I'm NOT going to weigh again until next Wed!!! (I hope)

I can't believe I am down 8.2 pounds in my first week. I guess drinking water, staying within my calorie allowance and walking is paying off.

Happy February!!

My usual weigh-in day is Friday, so I will weigh in again on the 3rd...as of today, I am 146.5 which isn't bad considering the cheating weekend I had!! On January 1, I was 151.5, so I lost 5 lbs in January!! I am hoping to keep the ball rolling through this month too! I am excited to go through this journey together!

I will join you! I'm fresh back on to Sparkpeople as of Jan 2012, but I'm motivated! I had a lot of success with these monthly challenges the first time I was on SP (lost over 40 lbs!) but now I have to slim back down for the honeymoon in April! eek!

My goal will be to lose 4 lbs. in February. I am looking forward to all of us staying on track together and helping with motivation! February is a hard month with all of the Valentine's Day candy floating around...

I will check back in tomorrow with my February 1 weight. I was 146 last Friday, but this weekend was my husband's birthday (ugh) it was very hard to stay on track and I know that I overdid my "cheat" meals.

Ill join you!!!! I know I can sometime hit ten and sometimes not so I dont get so discouraged if i dont hit it. But I love these challenges because the support is there so I pick usually 1 challenge every month whether its 2-5, 10, etc. So I will join this journey with you and may we both get the results we want!

Anyone want to join me?

I joined the lose 10 pounds in January thread because it was my first month starting to eat healthy. I would like to lose 6 pounds in February (I think this is a more practical goal for me than to try to lose another 10).

My other goal is to exercise more this month too!
