Have you tried the tutorials? But if what is working for you works than stick to it. Looks like whatever you're doing is working cuz you're losing weight! Me on the other hand it's hard. I'm working against weight gain side effects of medications. I'm gonna be a slow loser! I'm impatient too!

i found this web site not that easy for me to use. i use it for support and motivation. yes i know i can click on their tracker on the web site. but i guess i am not savvy enough to use it properly.

thanks for getting back to me so soon.

Your welcome. Are you tracking food here on sparkpeople? I find it handy to do so. I also log my fitness.

Idk if this stretch is directly for the knees but I'll try to describe it for you. I take both hands (arms) and hold onto each side of the treadmill bars and straddle the treadmill with my legs and push my tush back as far as it will go sliding my arms back and stretch my arms straight out. Hard to explain but it stretches everything! Arms, legs, and tush. It's gentle. I hold that seemingly ackward position for at least 10 counts and do it at least 2x. It feels good!

I recommend to start out walking slowly and build speed later. The extra weight we carry around exacerbates knee issues. Once we lose weight the pain should get a little better. At least that's what I'm hoping in my case!

Let me know how it goes!

I feel for you Glitter60, I have bursitis in both knees. I do what I can and throw the rest in the can! I would like to do all those hardcore workout videos these other ladies do but my knees won't take it. I do stretching excercises before I workout and that seems to help. What do you do?

Went to the gym this morning and logged in 40 minutes. Alternated between the treadmill, recumbant bike and elliptical so I wouldn't get shin splints. Hopefully that will help my weightloss. What is everyone else doing?

I'll give it a try! My current goal is to lose a pound a week, but I'll see what I can do to kick it up a notch!
