I've lost all of the weight that I've lost while taking care of aging parents. Neither of mine are in rehab. You have to make time for yourself and definitely don't allow the caregiving to be an excuse not to lose weight. Think of it this way, do you want to end up like them when you are their age?

Has anyone been very overweight and tried to lose weight but because of obligations to aging parents (one is in rehab and may be staying there) can't even find the motivation much less the time to take care of yourself? What did you do to help yourself?
