I find that motivation sometimes slips now that I am in my 50s as the weight seems to hang on longer and come on easier than in my 40s.

The trampoline is great for the lymph system, so keep doing it.

If calorie burning is your goal, you are certainly correct -- jumping on a mini-trampouline does not have the same calorie burn as activities that have impact.

That said, trampouline would be an excellent activity on your "rest" days. Also trampouline is a great way to warm up. Have you seen the use of the trampouline for a "non-stable" surface for enhancing balance and core work as part of strength training?

Do you have a regular pattern of exercise already established? Sometimes what you feel good about doing, that gets done, is more important than Activity A, which is done inconsistently due to injury or lack of buy-in.

I want to get back motivated to workout. I have been running on the trampoline but was shocked find out it burns very few calories. Dang, it feels like a workout but why waste my time if it does so little. I am going to try the Barre workout tomorrow. This looks doable for me!! I hope so. Wish me luck and send me some motivation.
