Wow - size 32 is pretty small - good stuff Bill. Thanks for letting us put your story up as a success story!

Have you seen that yet?

Now that I am home from the hospital I found that some size 32 pants from many years ago now fit me. Thought I would never wear those pants again. I am sure when I get back into the gym that may very well change but for now I will wear them.

The main thing has been dedication and determination. Plus total faith in myself that I could do it. I was on a low carb diet with a lot of exercising. Oh ya and no chocolate cake either.

That's amazing Dale! 10 sizes in a year? Any secrets you'd like to share?

Think Bill Cosby:

"Dale is Great. Doesn't Eat Chocolate Cake"

OK so I'm in a goofy mood today. It's my attempt to ignore what is going on in the world.

Well last week or so I had mentioned that I had put 5 pounds back on in muscles but to my surprise I have taken it back off. I have found that I have been doing a lot more toning exercises then anything else and it has really made me feel great. My pot belly that I have had just about my entire life is almost completely gone. I fell wonderful. I am now wearing a size 34 waist pants. This time last year I was in a size 44. I feel GREAT!

Wahoo Dale! Great start to your Stars thread. I'm glad you started a Stars thread and I plan to see you keep it going with entries from time to time.

I have seen many stories of inspiration and success and I wanted to take a few minutes to share mine with those who are unfamiliar with me and have not heard what has been going on with me since I joined Sparkpeople.
I joined Sparkpeople late in the year in 2002. My marriage had come to and end. I had to move back home for a while. I had no job. I was having major health issues and I was still way over weight even though I had lost some since last January.
I started tracking each and everyone of my goals on a daily basis. I track everything I ate and also all of my excercising. I forgot I was even thinking about leaving it all and moving out of state. Then things turned around for me with the help of Sparkpeople, the good Lord and lots of will power and faith in my self.
I now am enployed by my church. With a wonderful job. I have reached my goal in weight loss. I even have toned up and put on some muscle where I have never seen it before. I have been on a work and witness trip to Mexico which was life changing for me and I have met a wonderful young lady at church that supports all that I do. I am part of the choir and a men's quartet. And for some reason I still manage to find a little spare time for myself. My life has changed just as a fairy tale would and I owe it all to my faith, confidence, stubborness in succeeding, all of you here, and my Savior. I also hope that many of you will also have success stories as I do.
