A "fine" is better than not noticing at all. I swear my husband is blind but he does compliment a nice meal!

Great job with all of your success! I agree with everyone below - men are just clueless when it comes to speaking sometimes, haha!

HHhhmmmm...could it be that he is feeling a little insecure??? Perhaps he feels a little threatened by your success. Great JOB btw!

emoticon men, sometimes they are crazy. They don't realize we want them tell us we look wonderful or amazing. My husband tell me I look fine without even looking at me. I think it is there way of hurrying us up. So now I make him look at me and tell me the truth.

Just remember: in man-speak, fine may really mean F-I-N-E!
As in, you're looking fiiinnneee.
They just don't express themselves the way we do!

Allow me to say it on his behalf: you are doing fantastic and you will totally own & rock 40.
Woo-hoo YOU!

I've learned that when I ask a question about how I look I get a slow response or not one I really like. My husband says I'm asking loaded questions and no matter what his answer I will find a problem with it. Like a long pause before I get a response. He doesnt seem to get that the way to avoid that is for him to give compliments rather than waiting for me to ask. Gotta love men!

It's amazing how some men (my husband included) continually flunk out of diplomacy school! I've learned to live with it, but it is thoroughly exasperating sometimes. It's just part of the DNA, I guess.

Spark On!

FYI, at goal you will look absolutely fantastic. Eyes will pop, heads will turn, jaws will drop. No kidding. It will happen.

that I look FINE. FINE!?

It has taken an insurmountable amount of self control, hard work and discipline, but I am down 36 inches and 39 pounds from where I was 7 months ago. WOO HOO! emoticon

I am 24 pounds from goal and only 4 pounds from the lightest weight I have been in 20 years. WOO HOO! emoticon

I am a size 10 for the first time in 20 years (I started at a tight 16). WOO HOO! emoticon

And all he could say was I look FINE! Once the urge to slap him senseless passed, I simply said- I've looked FINE for 39 years, and that isn't good enough anymore. I look GREAT right now and on my 40th birthday in a few months I am going to look AMAZING. emoticon

Fine, pfft. emoticon
